Hotel Near Fort Lauderdale Airport

Cruising out of Miami Flying into Fort Lauderdale.

Want to spend the night near the FLL airport and then travel to Port Of Miami

Not interested in Miami Hotels or Hotels near the beach.

Clean and comfortable.  On site restaurant is a plus.

Price isn't as important as a nice room.

The Riverside Hotel on Las Olas Blvd is wonderful and very near a few great restaurants including Louie Bossi's Italian Restaurant, Big City Grill, American Social and Rocco's Tacos. The hotel is very close to FLL.

Thank you.  I like the fact that it is close to restaurants but would prefer something south of the airport since I'm cruising out of Miami.

How are you getting to POM?  SAS shuttles has a list of hotels they pick up at on thier web site - saving you a trip back to the airport just to get a ride to POM.

Try Hyatt Place..great location and next door to the Harbor shopping center. Publix market and several restaurants.

There is a Courtyard Marriott just south of Griffin Road.

Very close is a restaurant called Islamorada Fish Company.

Also , Tropical Acres Steakhouse is just a short distance west on Griffin Road.

Both places are quite good.

Hope you are able to organize a good stay / meal before heading down to Miami.

FYI , there is a Bass Pro Shops right next to the Courtyard Marriott in case you need any last minute cruise wear / gear .

Bass Pro Shops  was one of my favorite places back when I was into hunting and fishing.

that's my next  hurdle.  Pretty much settled on a hotel.  Now need to decide how to get to POM and back.  Hotel, down to four Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Marriott, or AC Hotel.  All in the same area.  No need to decide now.

Hyatt Place 17th street convention center. Very clean, close to airport, 10 min, lots of places to eat within 2 block walk. Highly recommend it. Can be reserved thru Valutrips.com for a great discount. Have used V.T, several times in the past 5 years for this hotel.

Hyatt Place or Hyatt House in Dania Beach are very nice and have many restaurants within walking distance.
