Did something bad happen on the Seascape?

Apparently, according to several reports - including said cruise attorney on Social Media sites - there was an altercation between a couple (M&F) on a 12th deck balcony which resulted in the female (reported as 47 y/o) either jumping or forced off the balcony where she landed on a 9th deck balcony and suffered a fatal injury.

The male was taken away by authorities upon docking and the local (Miami) police and FBI are investigating the incident.

I’m on board , second week of our b2b.  Sports Bar is still closed as of today and all the windows  are covered in paper. We didn’t even know about this incident until someone mentioned it last night in the Top Sail.

On turn around morning the outside area on deck 8, just outside the Sports Bar was blocked off. Found it odd but had no idea anything had happened yet. Here are some photos I took this morning. We just pulled away from Puerto Plata.

The image of the tarped balcony on deck nine shows pergolas and steps leading to a hot tub forward of a glassed in area.  This appears to be the "private" Spa sun deck area of deck eight, starboard side and forward.  The picture looks like it was taken looking aft from the starboard side YC wing over the bridge,  or perhaps the bridge itself.  The deck 12 balcony above is actually in the same photo.

I question if the work around the sports bar is related.  .

That would explain a lot. That’s so tragic. 😔
