online check-in for 2nd leg of B2B - questions

We're already checked in for the first leg of our upcoming B2B cruise.  Check-in for the 2nd leg is soon.  Do we do just check in online as usual?  We'll be getting off the ship and touring just as if it is a port day.  Do I choose a boarding time during check-in?  What does re-boarding look like?

We have a 10:00 AM meet-up time for our tour and need to be off the ship around 0900 to get a taxi.  Is there any reason we wouldn't be able to make that?  We're in the same cabin for both cruises btw.

Thanks--this is our first B2B.  We're looking forward to it!

Check in like you normally would but do not worry about what boarding time you pick.  You’ll be given a special pass that let’s you bypass the normal checkin process upon your return from the ship.

Depart the ship as you normally would at the end of a regular cruise, but without your

luggage.  You can take your valuables or leave them in the safe since you are not changing rooms.

There should be a meeting for back to back cruisers a day or two before the end of your first cruise where you will get the detailed instructions on the process for leaving and reboarding.

You can leave the ship at any time after debarkation starts which would be well before 9 am.   When you return you will have a "transit pass" which will let you bypass the checkin counter.  You can re-board the ship anytime after embakation starts and before the all aboard.

Like my friend @cruisestitch we also never bother to check in for the second leg of a B2B.  B2B passengers will receive a succinct instruction letter regarding the turnaround day process.  That instruction letter will include a "transit pass" which will guarantee that you will by-pass the lines of embarking passengers boarding for the second leg of your B2B.  Incredibly easy process for B2B passengers.

I always do the check in for both legs. I always pick the last time slot for the second leg. You will receive a TAD letter in your stateroom a day or two prior to your TAD detailing everything you need to know for your specific cruise. Not all B2B cruises are handled the same on TAD. Including your in transit pass for leaving the ship on TAD for your excursion. If you don't see the passes go to GS and request them.

It will depend on the port if you can make the time you’re thinking. In general, the US ports will require you and the other B2B folks to go as a group through immigration so that could be after 9.

Every B2B we have been on in the US and Italy we have had the option to leave anytime during disembarkation and you have to go through immigration with the other debarking passengers.  The hitch is you can't re board the ship until general embarkation begins after 11 am.

Yes if you want to just get off and re board the ship you have to do that as a group after the ship is zeroed.

For B2B's you will have two choices.   It will be explained at the B2B Meeting -  You will receive a letter that also explains the process.   You will each also receive a transit pass.

1.  You can leave the ship prior to 9:00 AM bringing your Transit Pass with you.   If you choose this option you will not be able to rejoin the ship until general boarding begins at about 11:00 AM.   When you return to the ship you show your transit pass and will be directed to special desk where you will be checked in -   Basically photo taken, possibly credit card imprint, photo and health questionnaire.

2.   You can stay aboard and around 9:00 you will meet with all the B2B's and will be taken off the ship for a quick processing and once the ship is zeroed out will be escorted back aboard and will have the ship to yourself until general boarding.
