Cancel Pd Gratuities when onboard and OBC

Is it possible to 'cancel' (get credited back) the gratuities I paid with my cruise payment. I'd like to use OBC for that.

Thinking the process would be to go to front desk, they would be happy to credit my card on file. That should be no different that someone who waits to pay on board?

Or not.

It's a 5 day out of US if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Another OBC - we can put money on account to play in casino -, then when completed playing cash out for cash - a 5% fee maybe?

Again, thanks

No they would only credit you back to OBC not to the original form of payment.  Anything credited onboard will always show up as OBC.  I'm not sure what would happen if you called in now before boarding.

You can cash out in the casino without playing anything and without paying fee.  Just do it at a machine

If you are more than 48 hours prior to sailing you can call Royal )or your TA) and have the gratuities removed and they will be refunded

That's what I was thinking. Undo paying ahead if you changed your mind.
