No Salty Dog Gastropub on Regal.

Vines, Ocean Terrace Seafood and Alfredos for casual dining.

And, the first day Patter/Events listing wouldn't have anywhere for coffees before 11 - as it's the embarkation day Patter.

See day 2's Patter for earlier listings.

Yes, the Horizon Court Pastry section, IC, Princess Live, and of course - Ocean Now delivery or room service all do specialty coffees..

@reedprincessThank you. Makes sense. Princess live has the coffees available from 7:00am onward, day 2. Perfect.

Radio - thank you for starting this thread!  We are sailing out of Galveston on 11/19 and I had some questions about a few things.  Looks like using the Medallion app, it is hard to get reservations earlier than 8:00 pm.  Can you just go to any of the MDR and get an earlier time - especially if you want to sit with other people?  Thank you for your posts and pictures!  Really appreciate it.

Yes, as soon as you board I would check with the dining room manager. You shouldn't have any worries.

Salami e Formaggi Misti (Antipasto)

The dish at Sabatini's is called "Salumi" e Formaggi Misti, not Salami.
Salumi stands for sausage products in general. At Sabatini's it comes with Prosciutto Cotto, Salame Felino and Mortadella. Seems like the salame hides under the cheese.

Sorry for the error. I mistyped it for my post.

Hello everyone and good evening. Today was a "Radio rest day". I was able to watch the news a couple times today, and it was very nice. Boarding day is similar to a travel day in that it is very exhausting and requires a day of rest. Mission accomplished.

I did manage however to walk through Princess Casino on DECK 6 a few times today. I have to say it softly so I don't jinx myself, but  Princess Casino may turn out to be "Radio friendly"

I was out on the open decks this afternoon, and many passengers did the same. It was a little windy at times but the Captain suggested that this would happen due to the passing of Hurricane Tammy.

I still have 11 nights to explore this beautiful ship, but I did check out Princess "LIVE" and the Gelato Bar.

Tomorrow is another day at sea (which I love) and it has been suggested that tomorrow will be a formal night for dinner in the Concerto MDR.

Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in.

Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 3 of  "LIVE" from Regal Princess.

I dined last night at Concerto MDR on DECK 6 and had the Allspice Rubbed Beef Short Ribs. The taste was very good, but there was a lot of gristle which made it very tough. I won't be ordering it again soon. My other dinner mates enjoyed their Herb Crusted Turkey Breast and Seared Diver Scallops and Chorizo.

This morning I woke up to sunny skies, but that quickly turned into heavy clouds and rain. The forecast for Tortola, tomorrow is rain for most of the day, but warm (81f). The seas are a little more rough than yesterday.

The Captain this morning made an important announcement. It seems that a medical emergency will cause Regal Princess to make a slight diversion. We will be stopping in Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic to process debarkation for the passengers involved with this emergency.  The Captain will report later after the debarkation with further details concerning our arrival time in Tortola. I am hoping things will work out for the family in question.

Here are a few pics from this morning.

I am located one deck above the lifeboats

Not directed at you, but I don't understand why PCL doesn't label these partially obstructed when lifeboats are right below and yet they label mid-ship Deck 8 cabins as partially obstructed when the Promenade is just below.

@Radio, it has been some time since a guest posted a photo of the senior officers board on the Regal.  If you happen to come across it on Deck 7, please snap and post a photo here which can be then added to the Ships Officers sticky thread.  I will look for the photo and do it.  Thanks.

DAY 4 PG 2

I see there is a QR code for duty on any liquor bought, either off shore or on board. Any idea what the duty is, and what ever happened to duty free? 🤷‍♂️

100% agree. We were "upgraded" once from a forward to a mid ship in one of those cabins. One of the tenders was right below us and when in port we'd often find a crew member standing on top of it with a full view into our cabin. Our forward cabin had no obstruction and from that moment on we always mark our bookings as "no upgrade." I also make sure to double check where the lifeboats are before choosing a cabin.

Is it a Galveston/Texas thing?

Flying out of Austin late afternoon.  The F1 was here this weekend so leaving early for airport as I anticipate horrible lines and traffic for 45k people all trying to leave Austin!

You are probably aware, but that was the busiest day in ABIA history. Hope you didn't have too chaotic a time!

Thank you so much, @Radio, for this thread. We'll board in Galveston in February and your info will continue to be very helpful.

Can you check on the Thermal Suites? Someone said they were just on the ship and the thermal area is closed due to renovations. I'm going to be on the Regal in 17 days and am worried I paid for a week long pass and most of the Thermal suites are closed.

Hello everyone and good evening. Today was a very nice day at sea. We did have a little rain and a few clouds, but most of the day was rain free.

Today there were lots of passenger activities at the pool, and in public areas on board. Trivia, bingo, dance classes, ice carving, pool contests and many others activities were available to passengers of all ages. I have only seen a handful of kids on Regal Princess so this must not be a good time for family sailing.

The Captain suggested that we should be arriving at Road Town, Tortola at 8am as scheduled. We should be picking up the pilot around 7am and approaching the pier from the S/E.

I may just hang out at Tortola Pier Park tomorrow. Tortola put this together a few years ago so passengers would be able to shop, dine, drink and many other ways to experience the British Virgin Island. There are about 40 shops right at the pier.

Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in.
