Am following along, as well. Looks like it will be a great cruise and one that we may consider as we've not done the Mexican Rivera. Also, interested in all aspect of your experience to include how you fins the condition of the Eclipse as we are on her next Sept for NE/Canada RT from Boston.

We were on the Eclipse for a Pacific Coastal cruise on 8 October and we had no complaints with the condition of the ship. Bummer she hasn't revolutionized as we like that new look, especially in the staterooms.

Thanks for the feedback. Though not revolutionized, stateroom still in good shape? No excessive sings of wear and tear?

Up at 0400 and on a direct to LAX. Made it to Disneyland for three nights before embarkation day. Second evening chic night is day seven as I hoped, so that should be lobster 🦞 night, but monitoring the app. Looking forward to Napa Rose tonight.

I did receive my 3 webinar points yesterday and hit 751, so Elite Plus now, thus TWO bags of laundry for this sailing now. 💥

Have a magical evening!

Yum.  What an appropriate dinnerware choice for your meal if that is in fact a basil pattern around the rim of your pasta bowl.

Don't believe it is. Its the Portmeirion Botanical Garden rim pattern. Pretty nice every day dishes. Love them.

Disclaimer, we don't look for little issues. We had no complaints with our stateroom condition.  Everything worked, shut, flushed, drained and closed as they should. The mattress is firm. Just the way we like them. The bed was by the balcony. The couch was a standard size so getting to the closet was a little tight. A love seat would have worked better. The balcony rail could have used some stain and varnish. But no way didn't that take away from the balcony experience. This was our third time on the Eclipse. First for 2023.

Well Celebrity just lost some money on me. LOL. They just lowered the upgrade price for the Classic to Premium drinks from my original purchase of 9.99 per person per day to 6.99 per person per day. Took that money and ran! I figure I will just donate the extra OBC to the casino, or maybe I might catch a hot roller and turn that 50 bucks into a small fortune! (But I highly doubt that!)

Today was just one of those days. I had a client of mine just keep asking question after question for about an hour and a half. Usually these closing meetings takes me about 15-20 minutes tops. I guess I just hit one of those outliers on the bell curve of life. Humans are fun creatures! It was a large sale, so I just sat there and answered all the concerns, and just chalked it up to just one of those things.

I had the misfortune of asking my wife while she was napping if she did something with my gadgets for photography and video taking. I was going to pack it away for the cruise. She said she did not see it, so I decided to order it on Amazon and it got here today.

When the wife opened up the package she proceeded to ask me this evening why I bought a second one of the gadgets, and I told her I couldn't find the other one and I asked her if she swiped it and placed it somewhere outside of my normal spot, and she said nope... She then asked me when did I ask her that question... I proceeded to say, "Well you were in bed about to fall asleep for the evening..." and that's when it hit me.. I should have asked when she was a bit more lucid.. Well, I can always use a second... I guess. Now she has one for her camera too, I guess...

I guess as time goes on we will have more of these senior moments.

The dentist called today and told my wife that the lab broke her new choppers.. She is so sad! She was hoping to be able to use them on this cruise.. oh well... Temp dentures it will be over the 4 on top 4 on bottom posts. I really feel for her. But maybe when we are on the Ascent in January she will be all set.

I'm still looking around for a good idea to do in Cabo. We like snorkeling, but I'm afraid that the water will be too cold. I'm a big guy and finding a wet suit that will fit might be difficult. I don't want to look like 10 lb of bologna stuffed into a 5 lb sausages casing. I might get arrested for scaring the tourists for life. I might just wing it and choose something at the docks.

To close the evening update, here is a fun pic the last time we were down in Cabo with the boys who are now 19

Excited to read all about this cruise! I really wish Celebrity would offer it again next year 😞

Yea.. I'm kind of disappointed that they are not offering it next year, but my cruise plans are full right now. Maybe 2025 lets see what they announce next month.

Ok. Here I lie in bed as I watch my wife do her last minute whirlwind scramble. Picture the Tasmanian devil. That’s what I have going on here while my bags are packed and by the door.

She is now going through the shoes and jewelry she wants to bring along. My guess is she will plan on staying up the night and sleep the drive to Los Angeles from Utah. Getting on late night vacation schedule I hope!

I like to hit the road early and get a good jump on the drive so I can get into Vacation mode at the hotel by 3pm and relax a few hours before dinner.

We are planning a nice dinner with some people who will be cruising with us plus a coiple who won’t be on this one but on the Ascent with us in January.

I will start posting a bunch of pics in earnest once we are on the road to get this party started.

See you all tomorrow morning for our pre cruise stay in Los Angeles tomorrow evening!

Well that was a horrible trip into LA from Vacaville we were in pretty much continual traffic so this is just a short post. We went to an Italian dinner at a restaurant called La Bocca Felice. Food was OK. Little pricy for what it was but it is LA.

Wife had Chicken Picatta and I had the carbonara. Wife thought the picatta was very good. I thought the carbonara was not typical  I like meals true to the name. shrimp? Really?

Had a great time with new friends at dinner and after we hung out for a bit in our room at the Crown Plaza. That’s a whole other discussion to come.

Anyways. Heading to bed and boarding at 11 AM. Let the fun begin.

Signing on for your review.  Tricia and I are taking our first Celebrity cruise on the Eclipse  doing the Mexican Riviera itinerary as well over Thanksgiving.  Like you we know the itinerary well and are most interested in tips on wine by the glass, cocktails to make the most out of our premium beverage plan, specialty dining as we signed up for the 4 night plan and just general tips to get the most out of our cruise.

Have a great trip and looking forward to the rest of your trip report.

I hope it stays that way for our trip.

I may have missed it.   When is your trip.   I thought you were aboard.

A great App that even the crew use is Windy.Com or the Phone App.    You pick a location and can see Waves, Wind, Temps etc.   The time bar shows projection out about a week.

We’re on this cruise too!  Have done this itinerary many times including last year on Solstice.  We’re ready for more sun and just time to relax with no agenda and no real plans.
