Post Cruise Luggage

Has anyone used baggage to go to store luggage after your cruise in Port Everglades?  Or, what do you do with your baggage when your flight is later in the day?

You can see if your cruise line and airline uses Luggage Direct. Put it out the night before and not see it until your home airport.

Luggage Direct is a good option (if possible) but will not solve the issue of what to do with your carry-on stuff.  One possible solution (which we have used) is to simply rent a car for the day and lock your luggage in the trunk :).  Another possibility is that some cruise lines will have disembarkation excursions which include various tours and later drop folks at the airport.

Any hotel will hold your luggage for $5, Pick it back up when your ready to head out.

Tried to use Luggage Direct this morning and it was messed up.  Only got one of us processed and we were both on same reservation.  HAL ship front desk was no help.  Plus luggage tag was poorly printed and it did not have the connection flight number on it - which is not the norm when I check my bags with the airline.
