I haven't cruised for several years and I see you now have to check in.  I read that one person can check in for everyone in their party if the reservation is linked.  Is that still the process?  Do time slots book up fast?

With Carnival, Platinum and Diamonds check in 16 days early, everyone else is 14 days, so the

early time slots go fast, but you will still get a time slot.

Yes, I was able to book check in for all 3 linked reservations last week on the app. Check in opens at 45 days.

You can also book / link dining reservations as well.

Yes but you need to select a check-in time for each individual.

What I do is use the App -   On the app you can go directly to CheckIn Time and select a time and then on to the next person.    You don't need to complete the whole checkin at that time.   Any time up until 48 hours prior to cruising each person can individually complete the check in or you can do it for all the passengers.

Slots will depend on how quickly others checkin.   I find the earliest slots often stay open for a day to a week.
