Rare marazul Posted November 17, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2023 Seabourn should have a shuttle bus transfer. It will be offered on board when you get disembarkation instructions, not ahead of time on the website.

It's a 10 mile trip. Don't overthink it.
tv24 Posted November 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2023 Yesterday we disembarked the Sojourn in Miami, 4 of us with a lot of luggage. We had a lot of OBC that we had no other use for, so while on board, through the excursions office, we booked a big van. The Seabourn staff were on shore directing us to our driver who loaded all of our luggage for a very short drive to MIA. Then she unloaded at the airport. Our transition from ship to airport was as easy as possible, and quick. Expensive, but we had that OBC just sitting there.
Nachosdelux Posted November 20, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2023 +1 on taxi or rideshare (Uber). Cruise line bus is typically the worst option, unless it is free (like the above poster) and you have PLENTY of time to spare.
Covepointcruiser Posted November 21, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 21, 2023 We use Blacklane. They are not expensive and the driver will be there with your name on an IPAD. Uber/Lyft will often have a surcharge when ships are in port. It’s unlikely that Seabourn will be the only ship in port.

I just checked Blacklane for an upcoming cruise we have and the quoted price from the cruise terminal to MIA was $127 for their least expensive option where Lyft and Uber were both under $25 for the same pre-scheduled date/time pickup. Even the "luxury" ride options on Lyft and Uber were around $50.00. Whether to use Blacklane rather than Lyft/Uber depends on one's personal preferences, of course!

We have had excellent service from Blacklane in Europe and Oz, finding them to be reasonably competitive with other options at the same quality level. As you illustrate, their pricing is insane in USA/Canada. From YYZ to my home is $100 by airport limo, usually $85 by "luxury" Uber, but pushes $300 for Blacklane low end. I conclude they don't really care to play in the US/Cdn market. 🍺🥌
Covepointcruiser Posted November 22, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 22, 2023 Must be in certain markets. Taking them from Tampa airport to Clearwater was $95 and it was a 40 minute trip. They met us at baggage claim and handled our baggage to the limo car. Makes it very easy on us. Worked very well in Lisbon, 57€ from the airport to the Ivens Hotel and we never had to touch our luggage.
Charleyben Posted November 22, 2023 #11 Share Posted November 22, 2023 We did a transfer in March this year from the Cruise Port to the Airport. We got a taxi at the terminal, took about 20 minutes and cost 45$.
Rare Hlitner Posted November 23, 2023 #12 Share Posted November 23, 2023 Agree with Flytertalker that one should not overthink this simple issue. Uber/Lyft is our first choice and just grabbing a taxi (they now use their meters and no longer have a flat rate)is another good option. The only reason we would consider booking a private "black car" would be if we had unused OBC and could arrange it through Seabourn (which is than charged to our onboard account). We strongly dislike cruise line transfer buses. It can take a long time until they are fully loaded, and the norm is to drop folks at one central drop point at MIA which might not be close to your desired airline. And to add insult to these cruise line buses, they usually cost more than just grabbing a taxi Hank
Rare FlyerTalker Posted November 23, 2023 #13 Share Posted November 23, 2023 And to remember about Blacklane....they are merely a front-end booking portal, not a service provider. I've often found much better, and less expensive options on my own. You are, after all, paying for the Blacklane profit as well as the actual service. YMMV. Covepointcruiser Posted November 23, 2023 #14 Share Posted November 23, 2023 What similar services would you recommend in South Florida from FLL to Miami Hotel? We are open to other car services but we want to be met at baggage claim.

It depends when your flight is? If soon after arrival get a taxi. If later in day take a bus tour round Miami to Airport. Fills in time and looks after your luggage. Seabourn were offering them but Viator had them on offer too. We arrived on Tuesday and took a private tour which was excellent. Sure port staff were calling taxis for passengers who had nothing arranged.
Nops Posted November 23, 2023 #16 Share Posted November 23, 2023 Taxi last Friday to South Beach was $35. No wait, clean, efficient and helpful driver.
