cruisefan0110 Posted December 4, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2023 Trying to figure out the DBP. What brands of scotch does Royal have? Do most of them fall under the $14.00 limit? Thank you.
George C Posted December 4, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2023 There was a large section of both blended and single malt 12 year old scotch’s included I think you will be happy.
c-leg5 Posted December 4, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) I guess people have a different idea of a lot! We think the selection is very limited - a Glenfiddich and the Glenlivet (no age statement). They used to have a lot more. A couple of Johnnie walker and Dewers white. Good news they are all within $14 limit! You can usually pull up bar menus and prices if you go into app and different bars but I will admit I had trouble tonight. cruiseguy1016 Posted December 4, 2023 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2023 I drink bourbon but I'm guesing it is the same with scotch. I have found that selection varies from ship to ship and even bar to bar on any given ship. If there is a particular scotch you want and you don't see it at the bar, ask for it. The bartender may be able to get it for you or maybe he/she can tell you which bar will have it.
footzz Posted December 4, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2023 These brands of Scotch are on the 'official' list: Chivas Regal 12 Year Old • Dewars 12 Year • Glenfiddich • Johnnie Walker Black • The Glenlivet. In addition they also offer: Buffalo Trace • Canadian Club • Crown Royal • Jack Daniels • Jameson • Maker’s Mark • Whistle Pig Rye. Whether they are available on any given cruise is anyone's guess.
smokeybandit Posted December 4, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 4, 2023 Bourbon selection is solid (when it's in stock) but I never found the scotch selection to be that great.
compman9 Posted December 4, 2023 #7 Share Posted December 4, 2023 Just off the Symphony - The list above is correct The best Scotch is the Glenllivet (quite easily)
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 4, 2023 #8 Share Posted December 4, 2023 Is Whistle Pig on all ships now? Back in April it was only on the Wonder at the MasonJar bar and then at the Coco Beach Club. While favor single malts, the Dewar's 12 Year blend is not that bad of of sipping scotch.
