Taxis at Miami Port?

We will be disembarking Crystal Serenity in Miami on December 23.  There are 5 mega ships scheduled to also be in port.  We plan to taxi or uber to Miami Beach.  Will there be a problem getting a taxi or Uber at the port given the number of ships present or do we need to book a transfer service and if so, any recommendations for a transfer service?

I am interested on this question also. In addition does anybody know how much is the price of the taxi to the airport? Is there a fix rate?

I have never had any issues ever getting a cab or Uber to MIA from the port, including, arriving a few days before Christmas in 2021

I used Uber from the ship to the airport and it was about $40.  If you go on the Uber website or app you can see the estimated price.

@travelberlin In 2021 the flat rate cab was actually cheaper than Uber.  sadly, I cant remember the exact price but I went with cab as it was cheaper than the Uber app quoted.

There is no longer a metered rate. This changed in July of 2022.

I also want to add that five ships is no big deal for Miami. There are plenty of taxis and also you have other options such as Uber.

My apologies. I should have said since July of 2022 no longer is there a flat rate. It is all metered.

Thank you everyone for your replies.  I was more concerned about the availability of taxis with so many ships at the same time.  It sems that it will not be a problem from your replies.

You will have no problem getting a taxi or rideshare at Port Miami. With a rideshare you might have to wait a bit for your ride to get assigned and to drive to you. If you're in a hurry, just take a regular taxi which are already lined-up outside each terminal.
