Labadee Barefoot Beach cabanas - anyone have luck adding an extra guest?

We have FOUR cabanas booked on Barefoot Beach next month (which technically at 8 guests per cabana would be 32 guests). Our travelling group size though is 33  😞  Has anyone here had luck getting one extra guest in?  We would even be happy to pay but I don't see an option for extra guest charge like they do for the Coco Cay Beach club cabanas.  Unfortunately none of our guests are staying in Suites+ and so this is the only way we can get everyone in the group onto Barefoot Beach...

I think I already know the answer, but are you and your guest staying in a GS or larger?  If so you two could get in without wearing a cabana wrist band. There is nothing stopping you from joining them in their cabanas.

I’ve never heard of an extra guest getting in over and above if they are not in a suite.

Ah unfortunately none of us are staying in a GS or larger (we are on the waitlist however).  Interestingly the 'booking confirmation' (as others have noted) allow us to put the names of up to 14 guests on each cabana for some reason... not sure if that would be the way to 'add' an extra guest as they might ignore that...

Sorry to interrupt your question, but did you book the cabanas JUST  to get into Barefoot Beach?

Thanks

Anyone on the ship can now book barefoot beach cabanas. It changed shortly after Covid.

Yes, thanks I am aware of that.   The OP mentioned renting 4 cabanas so they could be on Barefoot Beach. I was surprised that being on Barefoot Beach was so important that someone would rent a cabana just to be there. Honestly, the lunch is simply not that good anymore.

Wow, I hope they change that back.

Why would it need to be changed back. Anyone has the ability to rent a cabana there.  Obviously the cabanas were not rented by just those who were eligible for Barefoot Beach. It made sense to open it to others so that the cabanas could all be rented.

Oh so (yes I know how overpriced the cabanas RCC are charging now are - we have been Suite+ guests in the past and until now have been used to the $250-$400 cost for these).  Labadee is our only real full-land-beach day and there was enough interest for cabanas.  Interestingly, RCC is charging the exact same for cabanas on Nellie's public beach vs. the private Barefoot Beach and so we opted for Barefoot Beach (not for the food - although the last time we did this same Labadee cabana, at least HALF the folks we knew who ate at the Nellie's beach buffet bar got sick with really upset stomach and our group that ate at Barefoot Beach were all ok... may have been a one-off but still).  So yeah, we are just getting the cabanas so that we can our group of 33 together on a somewhat exclusive section and be able to hop between our cabanas 🙂   As we are on the waitlist for a GSuite+ upgrade, I did try emailing the OA concierge to ask but nothing yet...

Oh I dont' think they have a waitlist going for the Barefoot Beach... I am still holding out hope that we splurged for 4 cabanas (almost $6k) for 32 adults that they will let us take in just one extra adult to join us... (none of us are GSuite+ guests unfortunately, and all adults (not children)

I didn't say cabana.  You mentioned a waitlist for a GS.

Oh gosh sorry, I thought you were referring to a waitlist for a cabana.  We are booked in an ocean-balcony room and wanted a grand suite room but they were sold out (10 months ago when we requested, no joke).  We requested to be put on a waitlist.  On our booking I can see two rooms (including rooms numbers) - our booked room and apparently a second room with us marked as waitlist (a grand suite). No idea if we will get it.  fyi we are on a cruise where the entire Oasis is chartered and so the logistics/waitlist may work a bit differently from fully-public

cruises...

Okay, because Royal doesn't do waitlists, especially now that they have the Royal Up program.  A charter is an entirely different situation.

They absolutely do still do waitlists.  What they don't do is complimentary upgrades

I remember reading they don't, but I stand corrected.  But, the point is OP didn't tell us it was a charter until their last post.  We all know charters are different.

Sorry my original post was about the Barefoot Beach cabanas (and not really about GS+ reservations lol) but happy to get all this feedback and info.
