ChiefMateJRK Posted December 30, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2023 (edited) Shareholder Benefits :: Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) (nclhltd.com) If you still have time to edit, you may wish to change the thread title to Stock owner benefits, or something more descriptive. Stock options are something entirely different. complawyer Posted December 30, 2023 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2023 lele100: if you have filled out the paperwork correctly, and sent them along with proof of stock owner ship, your reservation will show as on board credit. how much obc you receive is contingent upon the length of your cruise. once you have the obc, you may use it as you wish, with some minor exceptions (ie cannot be used to pay some/all of DSC)
Rare destar Posted December 30, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2023 Once you email form and proof of 100 stock ownership, your account will update, you will see the $$ onboard credit, you can use it on anything you purchase. I use mine to get my morning coffee at Starbucks.

complawyer Posted December 30, 2023 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2023 hey dawg, no need to be critical, we all know the cruise itself doesnt offer stock options, merely onboard credit to shareholders of 100 or more shares. op was just trying to get some info on obc for the shareholders. but thank you for your very unsolicited explanation. remember, "a rose by any other name "etc.
lele100 Posted December 30, 2023 Author #8 Share Posted December 30, 2023 Sorry for the header, stock options, I have a question regarding the form. Seems like you cannot type on the form. Do you have to print it, hand write it and then scan it and email it? Seems like so much work, I do not have a scanner.
Rare shof515 Posted December 30, 2023 #9 Share Posted December 30, 2023 use a pdf editor like adobe acrobat, foxit or many other pdf programs to add text boxes to type in the form and depending on the pdf software you use you can also digital sign the document

Take a picture of it. Take a picture or screenshot of your statement which shows your name and 100 shares of NCLH stock. Start your email to shareholder benefit.com then insert/add the pictures. also, be sure to read what you cannot use the non-refundable for…there are several exclusions. complawyer Posted December 30, 2023 #11 Share Posted December 30, 2023 lele100. it's really not that much work, and certainly worth the effort. we've owned ncl stock sine right after covid hit and have gone on over half dozen cruises since ncl started sailing again. usually, i didnt bother with the obc. next april, we're on the 17 day trans atlantic, and the obc was $250. for a free $250 extra, i figured i could get off my tushie, fill out just 2 forms and get the credit. it appears on my reservation. on the other hand, there's never been much on board that i want to purchase, but one never knows. even if you dont use the credit, or use it all at once, you havent lost anything but a few minutes of your time filling out the forms. print them out, and take them to fed-ex or ups. im pretty sure they can scan them for you. we got the notification with in 24 hours. GO FOR IT!!!

Why did you have to fill out two forms? I have a 16 day in the future, and a single form got both DW and I $125 OBC each.
dbrown84 Posted December 30, 2023 #13 Share Posted December 30, 2023 It really wouldn't take much time or effort for NCL to make this a fillable form and/or an online submission. Wish they would make it so

Wish they would make it so I agree. That said, I just entered my signature, scanned it as a photo and inserted it into a Word document with a text box overlay. For every new booking, I just need to change the reservation number/ship/date and print to PDF. I can (and have) spit out a half dozen of those in a matter of minutes.😎

Not a terrible thing. If you want a credit, put in the work.

Twice I’ve handled it by putting the answers from the form into the body of the email, explaining that I couldn't type into the form. I received the OBC fine each time. genian_travels Posted January 3 #21 Share Posted January 3 (edited) What has other's people's experience been using their shareholder benefit obc? On my last cruise I had $250 and found I was refused the use of it on a number of occasions. The terms on the shareholder benefit website only say it "may not be used toward onboard service charges or pre-purchased activities" - so I understood this to mean I would be able to use my credit for anything else I wished. But no. First I was told I couldn't use it in the casino. Two days before the end of the cruise I purchased a future cruise deposit and then a day later, when it hadn't been deducted from my credit, was told by guest services I couldn't use it for that either. It seemed ironic that I couldn't use the benefit given for investing in NCL, to continue my loyalty with the company and place a deposit on a future sailing... As it was by then the last full day of the cruise, I was told it was too late for me to use the credit by cancelling and re-booking an excursion I had pre-booked for disembarkation day. This meant I was left with a reasonably large amount of credit I had to use, or it would be forfeited. As I had already had a drinks and meal package, free internet, been to the spa, used the arcade, bought a souvenir in the shop and spent other sums, there was nothing else I needed - or wanted - to purchase. To avoid totally losing the credit we ended up playing bingo for the sake of it - which seemed contradictory to not being allowed to use it in the casino as it was still gambling, and winnings were paid out by the casino... Guest services told me the reason I couldn't use my credit any way I wished was because I had been given "non-refundable" onboard credit. I showed them the terms on the shareholder benefit site, but they just shrugged and said they didn't know anything about it.... It was generally a frustrating experience. I emailed investor relations when I came back to query it and they never responded, even after a follow-up email. Has anyone else come unstuck using their benefit? Rare shof515 Posted January 3 #22 Share Posted January 3 non refundable onboard is always used first so that should of covered the arcade, shop spending, bingo and other things including the spa if you did not book it in advance

I spent $100 on the arcade and stuff in the shop, so was left with $150 still to spend on the last day that I kept being refused. Ended up buying 2 of the most expensive bingo packages just to not forfeit it...

Then resend an email, using the previously sent email but changing the attachment and cruise info.
