Equinox Disembarkation

First time on Celebrity, are you allowed to do walk off with your luggage?  What times have people been able to walk off?  I realize things happen to delay sometimes, I know nothing is firm, but just looking for what times people have been able to disembark.  We have a 14 hour drive ahead of us, so just trying to get a sense of timing.

Thank you!

You didn't say what ship or port, but this is from the Reflection in Fort Lauderdale.  Walk-off was at 7:30am but there were plenty of people waiting to get off the ship before then.

Great thank you!    The earlier the better!  7-7:30 would be great!

We were on the Enchanted Princess on the December 2 sailing and we had the earliest walk off we’ve  ever had, dis-embarked at 6:30 AM, sort of unbelievable. We’ve sailed on the Equinox 5 times since 2019 and walk off has been between 7:20 and 7:30, same with cruises on the Reflection and Infinity. All these cruises were round trip from Port Everglades.

Does everyone get in line super early to get off?

My experience is that Walk Off is permitted on all Celebrity cruises.    The time will be dependent on stated arrival time and when the ship is cleared by local authorities.

The norm is about 7:00-7:30 and they begin general disembarkation about 15 minutes later.   Suites are escorted starting right after walk off begins and their luggage is in the terminal.

Pretty substantial line, nor everyone, just those that signed up for early walk off. Some people want to stay on the ship as long as possible.

We don't even look at luggage tags anymore when they show up in our rooms.  We always just bring our luggage with us as we leave.  Much easier and we don't have the trouble of having search through a sea of luggage in the terminal.  (also the risk of someone accidentally grabbing yours).

A couple of weeks ago on the Equinox we all gathered in a small lounge by our rooms (Team earth deck 7) and I watched all the luggage while others grabbed breakfast.  We were in no hurry to get off the ship since we were staying another day in the Fort Lauderdale area before flying home the next day.  I think we walked off the ship at 9:15am and most of the ship had cleared out by then.  They had just begun calling for all luggage tag numbers to leave so that was our cue.  We literally walked straight through the terminal and through customs without stopping.

Like others have said you can self disembark pretty early, say 7:30am or so.  Just be aware that it will be a fairly busy time then and elevators will be a struggle with your luggage.  If you can take the stairs with your luggage it may save a wait and struggle.  Depends on how heavy and bulky your luggage is.

I loathe disembarkation day.  🤣
