Sunseeker810 Posted January 7 #3 Share Posted January 7 I have been to Maya Chan many times. The food, drinks and service are amazing. The beach is sort of gross. Lots of seaweed. There is a small pool to use. It is a great place to chill.

c-leg5 Posted January 7 #5 Share Posted January 7 (edited) Hayhu is newer and further from port than Maya Chan ( along the same road but takes a different route so travel time is about the same 20-30 minutes). Hayhu has different package levels listed on website. fee for credit card use. Maya Chan is run by American, expat, cruisers and is AI - set local buffet lunch and unlimited drinks, payable in advance after initial deposit. Both are likely to have seaweed if it is a problem time but Hayhu generally reported to have clearer water. (That may just be because there are far less reports for Hayhu.) You need to have reasonable length port hours to make either worthwhile. Edited January 7 by c-leg5
Rare jean87510 Posted January 11 #6 Share Posted January 11 Hayhu. Argentinian chef who makes fantastic food. Drinks are really good. Ocean is blue. Not crowded. I've been 2x now and won't go elsewhere.
