Pickleball on Ascent?

Hi there.  For those of you who've been able to sail on Ascent, is there a pickleball court? If so, any idea how scheduling/reserving court time is handled? Thanks!

There arepickle ball courts in the rooftop garden area. We watched people play one morning. Warning…it is quite windy up there at times making control of the ball a little difficult.

Yes, there is a court and it is used non-stop.  There is an attendant organizing each match and also keeping up with the order of players.  Another thing I really liked was the amount of seating in and around the area allowing spectators the opportunity to watch from various vantage points.  We don't play PB but were truly amazed at the skill of those who did...looked like a lot of fun!  Here’s a photo taken from above.

How many hrs a day is the Pickle ball in use?  Hope not during dinner up there..

 

Will others get to have  a quiet space and time up there?  Will there be any daytime music  or other events up there? 

 

Unfortunately, The plinking sound is very annoying . Seems they needed  to make a sports court area elsewhere as PB is very popular but was not in the original Lawn area design.

I want to say that PB was from 9 AM to 3PM. It definitely didn't go into the dinner hour.  There were other events up there as well, like football on the big screen and a party one of the nights.  Plenty of room to spread out.

Other than our one  dinner res,  and maybe a movie at nite,  we'll be crossing that space off.    No longer sounds like the nice garden spot that was  created  for reading and relaxation... probably too sunny anyhow!

 

One joy of cruising is a break from the plink plink plink!  Many PB  places in Fla are moving indoors!

Just as a side note, they have added large umbrellas in both the Fooftop Garden and pool area

On our cruise there was yoga and meditation in the morning, pickleball afternoon with playoff tournaments on the last day.  This was pre inaugural, so not sure what the new schedule looks like.

we are on APEX March 2-16, looking for pickleball play. hope someone replies.... bring your paddles!!

Just got off the January 7 sailing on the Ascent. Pickle Ball was fun, 1 portable court. All of the Pickle Ball players will end up signing up for short games. The assistant Activities director comes up and puts on  a fun tournament . All you do is put your name on the Sheet and they make sure the pairings are fair. After pick up games till 5pm . There are also first time players from the UK or other parts of the World that have never seen Pickle Ball. They pick it up fast because some are Tennis players.  The pickle Ball players were a nice group.  Fun

There is equipment available. Mostly used by beginners.  Experienced players brought their own paddles.
