On Bella bookings, what category did you book, what did you get, when did you get the cabin assignment?

Booked a interior gty cabin on Jan. 15th and receive notice 2 weeks later of cabin number on deck 13, no upgrade. I noticed a 200.00 drop in price recently and call MSC for a upgrade to a OV, they said no adjustments.

Booked a Bella Balcony guarantee and was assigned a handicapped room immediately. Since we don't need it, called MSC to see if they could assign us a different room in the same category and when the rep tried, she also kept seeing that only the handicapped rooms were available. We opted to pay a little extra and switched to Fantastica and a more mid-ship room. MSC didn't seem too concerned that we were assigned a handicapped room and don't need it, and didn't offer to move us to a different category to get us out of the handicapped room. We might have just kept it for the extra room, except that the room didn't have a couch so that there was more space in the room.

When is the sailing?  If it's outside of the penalty period, you could cancel and rebook.

Booked a guaranteed inside and 10 days later got our cabin assignment and it is a deluxe balcony on deck 12. This is on the Euribia , March 1st.

Booked guarantee inside in late December. Casino comp offer. Assigned obstructed oceanview about 3 weeks ago. Last week we were offered a balcony upgrade for $700. Turned it down. We'll take the room we have. This is for the Meraviglia in April, 2024.

1st March Euribia , booked   Bella inside on 25th Jan got assigned Fantastica Balcony on 29th Jan. Result .

Booked World Europa for Jan 24th 2025 on 29th Jan, bella inside, assigned a cabin instantly, still an inside though.

Like another poster we were given a handicapped room, midship deck 9.

Booked Seashore for Feb 18th 2024 on Dec 30th 2023. Assigned about one month before departure.

Booked a Bella inside, got a Bella inside a few days later. But in the aft on a high deck, happy with the cabin, no interest to switch for free to a OV low deck in front 🙂

Last minute casino booking, I needed to use a free certificate before it expired. Inside Bella guarantee, got email today deluxe balcony on Magnifica 2/11. Hoping the weather is warm for our visit to the Caye.

Booked inside guarantee b2b on Magnifica back on 12/15 for 2/9 & 2/12 cruises. Received email a few days later with upgrade to balcony. We have to move across the hall on the 12th, but no biggie. It’s our first time cruising with MSC.

It seems like most of the upgrades occur after the final payment date, from what I can gather.  That's still a nice upgrade.

Booked Bella IS after final payment for Dec 2023 4 night Seashore, was assigned Balcony the next day.

I am happy to report I received an upgrade to balcony!  From inside guarantee booked on Expedia.  Praise God, especially if I make it on the ship, because I was supposed to go on a cruise in October and I lost my ID in the embarkation port between security and check in.  That was terrible.  On that cruise I was upgraded to oceanvirw then paid for a balcony upgrade which I got.  Last cruise I got a regular inside as paid for.  I lost a lot of money at the casino on that cruise   Thanks God,  msc, upgrade fairies.

PS, I am not condoning gambling!  I made an idiot out of myself and so many times previously, I think I've lost 80,000 in eight years.  There went my retirement fund.  I just got an msc free cruise voucher, no surprise.  And God as my co-captain, Creator of all things, I need his forgiveness.

3 months before our 2/4/24 sailing on the Seashore we booked a gty bella oceanview cabin with a casino offer. The next day we received an email that we were upgraded to a deluxe balcony. The same thing happened to us on our Meraviglia cruise in May 2023.
