I was just wondering about getting a couple of bottles of water to take back to the cabin?

will they give you one or two?

2, 3, 4  plus ginger ale, tonics etc all in unopened bottles/cans. Brands of sodas different depending on the bar: Al Bacio generally has Royal Ginger Ale, Casino Bar Canada Dry. Sometimes if you want more water you will asked for your Room Card.

During HH just ask for water along with your drink.  Then get another order. Or just order soda and water.  We always have enough for the next day in our cabin and never had a problem when ordering it.  It is on the HH list so how can they refuse. We do leave a gratuity when we order during HH.

Most bars will give you one and if they do move on to another bar.

I loved when they did the pitcher of ice water in your stateroom each night. I always found myself thirsty during the night so that was something I utilized. Not sure how long it’s been since they stopped doing that.

Have you ask the Stateroom attendant to bring you one nightly ?

Just curious, what does this have to do with the Elite HH?

The discussion was about getting cans of water during HH and bringing it back to the cabin.  That is why, I believe, pitcher of water use to be offered in the room.  Just a side comment someone made.

You can ask your stateroom attendant for this

Been years since we've seen the water pitcher offered. Agree with just ask. Last cruise on the Eclipse (October 2023) we had plastic water bottles. Much better than the cans. We always take water bottles back to our cabin and stash them in the cabin cooler. We also always request ice twice a day.

Will ask to see if we can get it this time. I loved the pitcher because it didn't require me to remember to get water from one of the bars or the Retreat Lounge before heading for bed.

Not sure what you're curious about -  the OP asked specifically about getting water to bring back to their cabin. My comment was about when they used to bring water in the cabin and you didn't have to worry about it because it was already there. It was relevant to the question.

We almost now have to make a list of request that use to be a given for the cabin. As Bob Dylan sang, The Times They Are A-Changin'.

I didn't make the connection. That's why I started out by saying, "just curious". No biggie.

I have an old list but it needs to be updated. And I am not sure what is included anymore and what isn't, but I knew the water stopped a while back. Haven't cruised in 5 years and leave next month. It's hard finding all the info of what's available anymore and what's not.

If you haven’t  cruise in 5 year , pretend you are cruising on Celebrity for the first , that way you can’t get disappointed that it is not like the old days

Even if the old days weren’t that great 🤣

For us on the first day. Bar soap for the shower and sink, extra hangars and ice twice a day. Other than that we are good to go. The last cruise we had to ask for our CC laundry bags, which are now cloth.  Better than the old paper or plastic ones.

Hahah unfortunately I do remember many things. SO much has changed since I first started cruising when I was 16, but Edge didn't leave me disappointed on our last trip. Given that I haven't been on a vacation like this in so long though I am just glad to be going!

I think it will be this for us:

- Request ice water be brought in a pitcher each night

- Request the afternoon savories (we're in SS so hopefully we can get this)

- We used to ask the room steward to remove all of the drinks from the fridge, I think we will still do this because we do use it for things sometimes

- Bar soap - I don't remember on our last trip if we had toiletries in bottles but that is obviously a thing of the past

Not sure there's really much more we normally ask for? 🤔

We only do standard balconies but hate the pump bottles in the shower. My wife also brings her own hair products. She believes the shampoo and soap in the shower Celebrity provides in the pump bottles are the same.

Man, have we gone totally off subject. Speaking of CC HH we liked the pre shutdown gatherings in the Sky Lounge each evening (except the first night) from 5 to 7 PM. The CC is slowly reintroducing it.

I have to say I do not miss it. Our last one was a horror show, too many people trying to talk over each other, fighting to get their share of the crummy drinks offered(wine)  . Had a woman bump into me, double fisted, spilling her drinks on me, and of course it was my fault. The new system is better, but I always get the premium package, so it's of little use to me

Just my opinoin

cheers

IMO, not better. What is good is you have a choice. We are glad to see the CC is slowly reintroducing the CC HH in a reserved lounge from 5 to 7. Just wish it was like it was in the past instead of only a couple nights. Every night (except the first night). All our experiences have never been negative. Plenty of roving servers with drinks and snacks. Never went and got our own drinks or considered the lounge to be any nosier than any other bar/lounge. We have been getting the AI that includes the CBP and the BBB package before AI with the CBP. Even with the CBP we still attended the CC HH in the SL. We told the server what drink we wanted, showed our Seapass cards to verify we had the CBP and our drinks were brought to us. No biggie.

Cheers. 🍻
