Which Casino Apex/Beyond/Reflection ?

I am tossing back and fourth and need your advice.  My hubby loves the slots and did not care for the casino on the Beyond (I believe the slots in general) and preferred the Edge casino but loved the casino on the Equinox.  We want to cruise this April but the Equinox is doing longer cruises, we only want a 7/8 night cruise this year.  Which leaves me the choices of the Apex or the Reflection.  Which casino out of these two ships do you prefer and why?  Our late night favorite place is the sunset bar.  I heard the Reflection cabins are not really updated, so taking all this in considering I appreciate your advice and thoughts.  Thank you.

Reflection's Sunset Bar is much larger and nicer than the one on Equinox.  Not sure how it compares with Beyond.

Your question is going to be hard to answer since what your husband likes and/or dislikes is the actual slot machine games rather than the layout and size. All the E-Class casinos are the same size and layout( same with S-Class ship casinos), so to properly answer your question you would need to tell us which specific slot machine games he prefers.

Having said that we were on the Apex last July and my husband, who is the gambler in the family, enjoyed gambling on the Apex but he said the machines were tight and it was the first cruise where he didn't hit any jackpots (he normally hits several jackpots each cruise).

Mine also wins jackpots on each cruise, on the equinox one of his hits was 20k.  I guess if he doesn't hit anything in the first three days he just stay out more, which is a shame because he enjoys playing like your husband does.  Thank you.

The Sunset bar on the Beyond is much different than the ones on S and M class.  It has a Moroccon flare and is larger than the on other ships.  IT has nice tiered covered and open seating areas.

That's a great win on the Equinox!

Agree, same with my husband. If he goes through his gambling budget early in the cruise without any jackpots and/or good hits then that's it, no more gambling. The story with the Apex last July, which was a 12 nt Iceland cruise, is that he did go through his allotment and without any good hits he couldn't play as much as he wanted. He did get the casino host to pay for my Wifi and we got a birthday dinner at Fine Cut with a $100 wine allowance. Still he was down several $K. After the Apex cruise we flew from Rotterdam to Rome and after a few days joined our family on Royal's Odyssey of the Seas for a 7 day Greek Islands cruise. Wouldn't you know on that ship he hit multiples jackpots and not only made back his losses but was ahead several $K. He was able to gamble right up until the last day of the cruise, and speaking with the host he had played enough to have $700 to be wiped off of our bill. Since we were traveling with family members we had all dined in the MDR for the whole cruise, and since the cruise was fully booked there wasn't any good times at any of the Specialty restaurants to treat the family on the last night's dinner. So instead he played Santa Claus and gave all 9 family members a spending allotment of $75 to buy anything they wanted on the ship. Everyone was very appreciative and it was great my husband came out ahead at the end of these two trips!
