My sister and I have the same casino promo so we booked two rooms and am taking out brother n his wife with us.  I haven't done this yet so hoping for advice on how to once on board having our brother and his wife in one cabin.  Thanks for ant help.

I've not had any direct experience with this, but IMO, in general normally you would just move them into one stateroom together.  Just notify the stateroom attendant for each stateroom so they are aware of the changes and also have guest services issue the correct stateroom keys for each.  This is also to assure the correct stateroom billing accounts for each.  This would also apply to whomever (your sister and you) is together in the other stateroom.

The only concern might be if the fares (based on two casino promos + two individual fares) are based on the current stateroom assignments and there would be restrictions, or fare changes, based on that.  But as long as the net fares paid to the cruise line would be the same, and the casino promo doesn't restrict anything regarding changing staterooms or individual billings, etc., then I would think you would be ok.

You don't mention which casino promo or cruise line, so I don't know if that would make a difference either.  Maybe others with direct experience can comment.

It might also depend on the cruise line.  One mainstream line will not issue extra keys nor move guests.  They expect you to stay where you booked.  EM

Which one is that?

Ships don't do "bed checks" to make sure each passenger is sleeping in their assigned beds. 😆

When we have some changes, we just ask Guest Services for extra keycards, so each person has their own card(s) to get into whichever cabins they need to get into.  The extra cards have never had "charge privileges"; they are just "door access".

For charging, the original keycards have been used.

Our cruises are with family, so we don't need to track "who spent what", which makes it easier in terms on not worrying about which card is used for which charges.  The bills all end up being paid by us 😉 , and most is paid before the cruise, of course.

ETA:  I just read Essiesmom's reply above.  We've never had a problem with getting extra key cards, including when no one is "changing beds".  On cruises or in hotels, we *always* want the others to be able to come into our suite at any time.  (For the occasional time we don't want company, we'll just bolt the door.) No one at any Guest Services has given us any difficulty getting extra keycards for our suite, or extra cards for the others' rooms.  They obviously do need to have the permission of the occupant of any room where extra keycards are given out.

And we've never "asked" Guest Services to "move guests".

MSC.  I have read on the MSC board that if in the Yacht Club the concierge might be able to arrange it.  The other workaround would be if you sail on a ‘smart’ ship that has the bracelets, the two who need to move could get the bracelets and trade to have cabin access.  But not all classes of MSC ships are ‘smart’.  EM

It is very easy. My wife and I have had casino deals before. We booked 1 room in my name and my friend. My wife booked a room in her name and my friends wife. Once you get on the ship go to guest services and get your cards switched to whatever rooms you want to be in. I have done this many times.

Done this on both Carnival and HAL - no issues.

Just to add from my first response.  We too have done this several times on RCCL / Celebrity, but not with any casino promos and didn't know if that would add any restrictions.
