I saw the dinner listed at $140. Other people said when they went it was $45. Are there multiple types of WMD or did the price dramatically gone up? Does anyone know? Has anyone done it recently?

The $140 is for the new Caymus WMD; the $45 was for the Silverado WMD which recent reports state it’s no longer available. I have greatly enjoyed the then $40 Silverado WMD many times but at $140 for the more expensive Caymus wines we will never attend the WMD.

Both the Caymus and the Silverado are still listed on the dining options PDF on the website but people are reporting that they have only seen the more costly one offered. It may be the lower cost one is not offered that often.  🤷‍♀️

Yes because they add the 18% service charge. It’s now added to all dining you pay for.

Yup, the upcharge for specialty dining (SD) used to include a baked-in gratuity.  Now they are adding it on top as a "backdoor" way to increase the prices.

Depends on when you booked.   We are recently off the Ruby and were not charged the additional.  We booked dining prior to the change.   Will see what happens on our next couple of cruises with dining paid in full prior to the change.

Same for us for SD.  However, WMD you can only book once OB and they add that 18% now.

$140 sounds right.  $45 would be for a wine tasting.

No, wine tasting is different.

The WMD is $140 plus 18% for a Caymus wine dinner.  Silverado WMD was $40, but have not seen that one since March 2023 on the Enchanted.  We’ve checked on every cruise.

No...there are actually 2 different Winemaker's Dinners. We have never done the $140 Caymus Winemakers Dinner...apparently Caymus is a much more expensive wine than what is served in the "other" (original) Dinner. We have done that $40 Dinner several times. We think it's a great value and look to see if it is available on every cruise we do.

Thank you. We'll look. Just want to do something different this cruise.

Have you tried the UBD? (ultimate balcony dinner)

Price $110 plus gratuity. Total per cabin.

It is a real treat.  We book it

on a port stop around 5-530pm.

Close to sail away, for the backdrop.

Lol 😂.  My wine time is 3pm and the UBD is so much food, need time to digest and more wine!  🍷

We love to get to the early show also.  You could do the dinner later too.  Just love the background during the dinner and a beautiful sail away.

Recently did the Caymus Winemakers Dinner (Enchanted Princess, November 2023).  In our opinion and that of our travel companions, it was fun to do one time but not something we would repeat.  We were neither impressed with the wine nor the food it was paired with and quite honestly felt that the food choices did not complement the selected wines at all and vice versa.

It was, however, a fun, although a tad expensive, way to spend an evening but for us once was enough, at least with the Caymus wines.

For those that booked the Caymus dinner, once on board, where did you go to book the dinner? The MDR? Also, was the Caymus dinner offered only once or multiple nights? We’re on the Sun Princess this summer and looking to book other specialty restaurants in advance (whenever reservations eventually open!). The uncertainty of which nights it will be offered makes planning a little more challenging!

I was going to ask the same thing. I'm on Sapphire so it would just be Chef's table. How do we book that?
