It was one of the smaller suites but the balcony was great and, being one cabin off the back you could lean over and see the wake. Didn't use the bathtub, but the larger shower was great as well as having the toilet able to lock off from the rest of the bathroom as we were four in the cabin. The toilet area also had its own small sink. You could close off the main bed from the couch area for privacy if you were more than two in the room and each side of the "wall" that separates the two areas each has its own large TV. We were right across from the lounge and the next to the rear elevator making it very private from the rest of the ship.

And What was the Cabin #, Category again? Thx

Hello Fellow Cruise Lovers,

Gerry & Denise here from Scottsdale AZ originally from Northport Village on Long Island , NY. We are booked on the Sun Princess for a 21 day cruise round trip from Barcelona on May 17,2025. Originally were in one of the forward Deluxe Balcony cabins as a 14 day but traveling with friends who convinced us to stay on for another 7 😁 & the cabin we originally picked wasn't available for that part of the journey so ended up booking a Guarantee Mini Suite for a great price....never did a Guarantee before so a bit nervous as to location 🙄but from what I saw they looked ok- anyone have experience with booking a guarantee for a Mini Suite ?

Appreciate any input

Denise

We are booked in November on the Sun, looking for an information on the Sphere balcony suite #12408. How large is the balcony.

It looks to be a very nice size because of the location and category.

You upgraded the second week, but did you have 14102 on the first week? And if so, what can you share: words pictures videos whatever?

Sure, we had 14102 and 14104. 14102 was larger and the size really of a small suite, although the bathroom was not as large as the suite we were in the second week, it was the normal size. The balcony was huge, but no see through. Would take this cabin again in a heartbeat. I didn't take photos because someone posted earlier in this thread and they are accurate.

We also have a group of 6 with 3 cabana mini-suites on deck 10 booked for October 2024 cruise.  Until today I didn't realize that our cabins on deck 10 on the Sun are directly above the buffet. I had not clue that cabins were not below us on this booking.  Hoping this will not be too noisy....

Kathy and Ken, favor not related to cabins:

please post a few photos of Solarium pool. Trying to see if it is accessible by stairs rather than ladders.
we don't need a “lift”; just stair access.  Thanks ahead

It's my understanding that all of the pools on the Sun are stair access only. 🥵

Makes no sense for many people!

Surely they should be described as ladder only access- no graduated stairs apart from the pay only Thermal pool in the spa

You're right - ladder is a much better description.

Works well for all of the children in the families they were hoping to attract with this ship - NOT!!!! 🥵

It almost feels as if the person who designed parts of this ship worked for someone trying to put Princess out of business.

Hello! Looking or any additional information on Sun Princess Cabin 14101 (or 14102,14103, 14104).  They all seem like they will be a tad larger than the other deluxe balcony cabins, is this just a misprint on the ship's deck map?

We stayed in Sun Princess 14102 and we LOVED IT!  Had to walk to the front of the ship all the time but it was worth it. Was even able to be outside during a super soaker storm front. Loved being able to look forward towards ships direction. Tons of room. Peeked over at the 14104 balcony and it looked awesome as well. Hard to believe that these are ENTRY LEVEL balcony category.

Sorry, next to each other 14102/14104, so a nice big space in any case.

SMART MOVE!  You have a ton of space both inside and out.  I was in 14102 and loved it.  Posted photos and video on #390.

@MrTallPaul - the balcony looks amazing but if I am seeing this video correctly, one cannot view the TV while seated on the couch?  That seems strange.

Thanks for sharing!

That is correct.  The couch is a pull-out bed and is best used for that.  TV is only visible from main bed.  My guess is if they started adding TV's (they easily could behind the existing TV) and fully using space they would upgrade the room from entry-level balcony.

I recently booked a 7-day cruise aboard her next May, doing the Rome-Athens itinerary, as a Christmas gift to the wife, and decided to book a Sanctuary Balcony room. I realize that this is a new class of rooms that Princess just started, not sure what it was called previously. We will be in Room 16604. If anyone has stayed in one of these rooms and can comment or post pictures I would greatly appreciate it.

HI All, we are currently booked in a S9 (11456) but have an offer to upgrade to a S4 (with a fee not free).  Anyone have any reviews/comments on the Vista suites? They are all located in the AFT correct? I know the views from the balcony that we are currently in are not straight down to the water, is that the case for the Vista Suite?  Anyone have any pics of the view from 11456?

I'm torn as it will be nice to have more space but i do like the mid ship location of my current cabin....

Thanks in advance!

The Vista suites are all Aft on decks 15 and 17 (with 2 accessible suites on deck 16)

We were onboard in Penthouse Suite 17626 (the former name of Vista) last week and we loved it.  Some minor issues:

-  lack of surfaces/side tables if you wanted to eat food in the suite

- some noises from passengers eating outside coming up from deck 9

- heard the odd movement from setting up of loungers in the morning from The Sanctuary - a deck 17 issue

Pictures of the suite can be found on this post from the Live thread.

This was our view looking down to the sea:- assume this would be the same for any of the Vista Suites:

A few photos of 17604. Currently classed as Premium Deluxe Balcony, and from October 2024 becoming one of the the few Sanctuary Balcony rooms. Room interior is standard Deluxe Balcony [very comfortable, plenty of storage, lots of USBs and power outlets, and the awful shower curtain replace with glass] with the 'selling feature' being the large balcony, good views, and private sun lounger as well as normal balcony chairs + small table. Balcony is actually slightly larger than it looks in photo. Would happily stay in one of these rooms again.
