Use of Medallion on Slot Machines

If you wave your Medallion to a slot machine, you decide how much money you want on that machine.  If you do that and still have money on that machine and want to quit,  can you print out a payslip or does it go back on the Medallion? Have never used the Medallion and would rather not take cash. Thanks!

It's very easy and very self explanatory once at the machine..

Once done, but cash out. It goes to your onboard casino "bank".

You can then either then move to a different machine and play those funds or go to cashier and cash out, in cash.

Definitely remember to cash out each tie you leave a machine. Don't forget to cash out and go to the cashier window on the next to last day of the cruise in order to get any winnings or, in my case, any "leftover bits of money" out before the end of the cruise. If you wait to disembarkation day it's too late and you will have to wait for Princess to mail a check.

On some of our Medallion cruises, the machine would log us out and bank our funds if the Medallion was "too far away" from the machine - even while we were sitting there.  While we do make sure to bank any money before leaving, I suppose based on experience if you just get up and walk away the machine will log you off and bank your money.  I may try it with a small amount left.

It will log out but will take a few minutes

Meanwhile anybody can play your money on the machine. Of course the wins or losses will be yours but I would prefer to make my own foolish wagers.

At least the have made it quicker with the medallion. It used to be easy to forget that you had a card in the machine

Can we still use cash and not the Medallion?

Yes to start with, as in you don't have to play against your onboard account, but you'll have to "cash out" via medallion and go to cashier to get your winnings..

Yes, you can pump as much cash as you like into the machine, whatever you finish your session with gets put in your bank, but you can't take it out without going to the cashier to withdraw.  No TITO like other casinos...

Do we still use the Medallion, then cash to start playing?

You can use cash but if you want to cash out you need to put it on your casino account using the medallion. Princess does not print out tickets

You're going to need to set up a casino account in order to "cash out" to your account, and then actually get your cash at the casino cashier.

You can use cash to play - but if you want to claim your winnings - you'll need to set-up your account, thus using the medallion.

And if you want any of your okay to be tracked and counted towards any casino offers - you'll absolutely need to set up your casino account via medallion (it's exactly the same as using a key card on other lines or using your players card in land based casinos.

Just want to clarify the prior poster: "setting up your account" is no more than using your medallion at the machine.  Thereafter the play and the cash-in is linked to you.

AND if you are on a B2B, you have to cash out on each segment.  Even if you booked it as one cruise but it's a B2B you have to cash out at the end of each segment (the last night).  Found that out the hard way.
