trrn2016 Posted March 15 #1 Share Posted March 15 If you wave your Medallion to a slot machine, you decide how much money you want on that machine. If you do that and still have money on that machine and want to quit, can you print out a payslip or does it go back on the Medallion? Have never used the Medallion and would rather not take cash. Thanks!
Serious Cruisers Posted March 16 #2 Share Posted March 16 No you just move your play funds to banked funds (ie back to your account/via medallion) log off and move on to a better machine....

Thanks! It's very easy and very self explanatory once at the machine.. Once done, but cash out. It goes to your onboard casino "bank". You can then either then move to a different machine and play those funds or go to cashier and cash out, in cash.
Thrak Posted March 16 #4 Share Posted March 16 Definitely remember to cash out each tie you leave a machine. Don't forget to cash out and go to the cashier window on the next to last day of the cruise in order to get any winnings or, in my case, any "leftover bits of money" out before the end of the cruise. If you wait to disembarkation day it's too late and you will have to wait for Princess to mail a check. 1
Papa Yoda Posted March 16 #5 Share Posted March 16 On some of our Medallion cruises, the machine would log us out and bank our funds if the Medallion was "too far away" from the machine - even while we were sitting there. While we do make sure to bank any money before leaving, I suppose based on experience if you just get up and walk away the machine will log you off and bank your money. I may try it with a small amount left.

It used to be easy to forget that you had a card in the machine
ROCruiser Posted March 16 #9 Share Posted March 16 Can we still use cash and not the Medallion?
reedprincess Posted March 16 #10 Share Posted March 16 2 minutes ago, ROCruiser said: Can we still use cash and not the Medallion? Yes to start with, as in you don't have to play against your onboard account, but you'll have to "cash out" via medallion and go to cashier to get your winnings..
Rare JGmf Posted March 16 #11 Share Posted March 16 (edited) 4 minutes ago, ROCruiser said: Can we still use cash and not the Medallion? Yes, you can pump as much cash as you like into the machine, whatever you finish your session with gets put in your bank, but you can't take it out without going to the cashier to withdraw. No TITO like other casinos... Edited March 16 by JGmf correction

You can use cash but if you want to cash out you need to put it on your casino account using the medallion. reedprincess Posted March 16 #15 Share Posted March 16 29 minutes ago, love to cruz said: Do we still use the Medallion, then cash to start playing? You're going to need to set up a casino account in order to "cash out" to your account, and then actually get your cash at the casino cashier. You can use cash to play - but if you want to claim your winnings - you'll need to set-up your account, thus using the medallion. And if you want any of your okay to be tracked and counted towards any casino offers - you'll absolutely need to set up your casino account via medallion (it's exactly the same as using a key card on other lines or using your players card in land based casinos. Rare JGmf Posted March 17 #16 Share Posted March 17 Just want to clarify the prior poster: "setting up your account" is no more than using your medallion at the machine. Thereafter the play and the cash-in is linked to you.

Even if you booked it as one cruise but it's a B2B you have to cash out at the end of each segment (the last night). Found that out the hard way.
