PREFER LIMO TO UBER

Recommended Posts

Blacklane -   Same one Oceania uses and can book at about 1/2 the price  they charge.

Excelsior Limousine is quite good.

As far as Uber goes -  you can choose Uber Black for curbside pickup as oppose to regular where you have to go to the Ride share lot.  You can also book weeks in advance.

And one can walk out at baggage claim and there's a taxi stand (or some equivalent), right?

Not at LAX, where in most cases taxi and rideshare pick ups are only permitted at the LAX-it lot near Terminal 1, which requires a walk or shuttle bus ride from your airline terminal. "Black car" pick ups are still permitted directly outside the terminals.

A limited number of taxi's can also be found at these two locations inside the Central Terminal Area and Inside Parking Structure 3 between Tom Bradley International Terminal and Terminal 3 (Delta and AeroMexico).

Beside this you will need to go to LAXIT - shuttle busses run about every 10 minutes

We used the taxi stand near Terminal 3 a while ago. There were no taxis actually waiting at the "stand" so we had to wait with a growing crowd until the taxis trickled in one at a time. The phone number posted on the sign was useless, the person at the other end knew nothing about that stand. Took us over 30 minutes to finally get a ride out.  Next time, the LAX-It bus....

Will second Blacklane. Super easy to use and have very good experiences in LA with it.
