This is AidaMar, she was in Vik. Nice stop in the middle of Sognefjord and opposite to Balestrand, a very nice and famous small town. She is similar in size to Grandeur of the Seas with about 2.000 guests, so not that mini 😀.

About 20 mins.. we got back to the bottom at noon and the return bus was 12:30

You certainly should feel virtuous!  You also were not alone in your exploits, as the paths looked really busy from our view from way up high on our posh chariots!  We were on the red double decker bus at 9:30.  I would have been fine to do the walk, but I have maxed out any excess steps the FW is willing to do this trip.  I checked my watch and we've averaged over 12000 steps a day since we landed at Heathrow.  We did walk up and back the final 600 meters to the glacier, so we did have to put forth some effort!

 

For anyone interested, the troll cars alone were about $26 pp. Olden Adventures charges $80 pp for the combo, so with the bus alone costing $50 we saved 5 bucks pp, even though we had no choice since Olden Adventure's combo tickets were sold out.  It's the exact same troll cars BTW.  I checked the app, and Royal was still selling bus only today for $159 and the troll car combo is no longer on there, but I think they were getting $210.

With the 9:30am bus departure, we scheduled the troll cars for 10:15am.  At the top they told us to be back to the troll car stop at 11:15 and we were back down to the bottom an hour before the bus left.  There's a cafe, a restaurant, and of course a store to bide the time.

Stavanger is stunning! What a gem.

 

 

 

Parked right in town, overlooking the beautiful old cobbled town area of White Houses and lovely gardens 

 

 

Then easy stroll into the charming centre, stylish shopping 🛍️ ( yes there is a Zara), coffee shops, and a very pretty street called Fargegaten

We enjoyed that show on the recent TA even though it was a challenge keeping up with people popping up & vanishing all over the place!

Especially impressed with the girl on the drums!

We stayed onboard today.  Have been to Stavanger  countless times and in the month of April with clear blue skies and tshirt weather. Bbbbrrrrr today. Love Stavanger but not enough to freeze my bits off. There is a fab 'new to me'  clothes shop I can spend ages in looking at clothes you'll never find in the UK. Bought a scarf last time, they always fit ! 😂

For the 3rd time we get the blaring music and Begging for 🔟 at dinner…. Even when we say Stop 🛑 you aren’t meant to do this, they still continue with their speil…

we won’t get a day off if you don’t give us a 🔟,

I won’t get promotion if you don’t give me a 🔟… 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I went to Chops again.  In the Music Hall now listening to Rhythmocracy do their Coldplay/U2 set.  I guess this is as close as we get to a tribute band now.

Which dining room are you in ? Remember when there was a question on the post cruise survey that asked " were you asked to give a 10 by any member of crew ?  " and " which department were they in and what name ? ". Sorry but if we are asked to give a 10 they'd get a big fat zero.

Our wait team are fab and don’t need to ask for a 10.

We haven’t cruised Royal in 18months.

We were there too. I thought they were better as Coldplay rather than U2!
