Rare cr8tiv1 Posted June 1 #4 Share Posted June 1 Thanks for the large font. What is a "first side suite". Are you in a mini-suite or aft suite? I love the Caribbean Princess. Enjoy your cruise. I am looking forward to hearing your comments.

We usually book aft corner suites on our other favorite cruise line for the wake show . The only full suites that we saw were the Penthouse Suites on the side . We chose Starboard as it faces the land the most . We like your locations . We went to Kauai and San Francisco for our anniversary last March .

Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted June 1 Author #8 Share Posted June 1 Sorry for the powered scrambled eggs appearance of the previous post . I copied and pasted it from Princess but this is not the way it looked on their web sight . Perhaps I will have to work on my proper English as I speak mostly American and it sometimes gets lost in translation . 😉

Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted June 1 Author #11 Share Posted June 1 When we booked this cruise this week , we got 3 prices . CC was first but they linked us to Princess . Our TA was second and an unnamed agency was 3rd . They all had the same price on the same room . One thing that we noticed on the unnamed agency was that they worked with a company that could finance the cruise for 18 months . We phoned our TA and she had not heard of the company . She checked up on them and applied to offer this service to all of her future bookings . The company said that it would take 10 days to process and approve of her . There was a 35% reduction in price and we asked if we could book this cruise with the agency with no hard feelings since we needed to get busy . With her approval , we booked with the agency . The agent that we spoke to gave us about $ 500 credit to spend on board only as a loyalty perk and about a $ 2000 price reduction !! Cruise deal done ! Is this a great country or what ? 🦅
Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted June 1 Author #12 Share Posted June 1 Good surprise # 2 When chatting with Princess this week we found out something new . Our friends have never cruised Princess before but they had heard us talk about the Chef 's Table . We were concerned that with a party of 7 , it would be hard to be picked . But , when we talked to Princess we found out that there would be 4 Chef ' s Tables and she then asked if we would like to book now ? Even better , we will have a Kitchen Tour like the old days BC ( before Covid ) . Yeah Princess !
Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted June 1 Author #13 Share Posted June 1 Our Chef's Table on the Regal February 11 , 2016 We had to scrub up first and wear a lab coat in the Kitchen Chef Naveen with the first of 5 Hors D' Oeuvres DW with the shrimp Margarita . Note empty flute , it's hard to eat and drink at the same time Carmen Miranda Seahorse Duck !

Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted June 1 Author #16 Share Posted June 1 The Bistro Fontina Mini Tartlet . This was my wife's favorite and she thanked the Chef . He latter brought her the recipe . Maitre d'hotel Patricio shows his approval of the Roasted potatoes with Sour Cream and Osetra Cavier while Chef Naveen describes the preparation of it . The Brie Lollipop One last photo of the amazing under the sea art of vegetable carving and arranging before removing our coats outside and returning to the dining room .

Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted June 2 Author #20 Share Posted June 2 (edited) If you have an appetite , please bring it to the Chef's Table . Synchronized service of the first course The second course Second course with Gray Goose gravy ( more gravy please ) The main course Tenderloin was flambéed but the Rack of Lamb was cooked in the galley . It was a real pleasure watching an artist like Chef Naveen work . Like seeing Rembrandt paint and not just seeing the finished product . arizonaperson Posted June 2 #23 Share Posted June 2 @scubacruiserx2 I am just curious why title something Live when it’s over a month away? Looks like you’re very excited to cruise ,but most people post their lives at the earliest days before they depart on the actual cruise. I know it’s your thread. You can do whatever you want sort of. My curiosity is…
Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted June 2 Author #24 Share Posted June 2 (edited) We have not been on Princess for a number of years before Covid . But our last cruise on Princess came for our 44th Anniversary when we saw a room , itinerary and a price that we liked just before the sail date . It was from our home port with no travel expenses so we could afford an upgrade . It was on a newer ship that we have not been on , the Enchanted Princess . So we hopped on the ship and named the thread Some Enchanted Evening . So , if you would like a free trip to the Southern Caribbean , you can read about it here : Edited June 2 by scubacruiserx2
