Can the birthday savings from Celebrity be applied to existing bookings?

If for new bookings only is the code good until next year's birthday?

Has anyone actually used their birthday savings code?

Never seen a birthday code or discount.  Best we did was on an Alaska cruse years ago we got a cake, two cakes actually for her birthday and the actual BD was still a week away...

I have received a email Happy Birthday offer twice. This was a few years ago and as I recall it was $50 to be applied to new bookings only.

We tried to use the $50 for a previously booked cruise and were unsuccesful. 

If you get a Happy Birthday email from Celebrity, drop down to the bottom and you will see the offer attached.

$50 and it was applied during booking by my celebrity agent
