canadian-nurse Posted July 1 #1 Share Posted July 1 Hello! We are hitting Cabo, PV, Ensenada and Mazatlan. Just starting to research but are there any good beaches for snorkelling near the cruise ships or a taxi ride away? If not, which are the best spots for snorkelling or tours for snorkelling? Thank you very much for any help!
CruiserBruce Posted July 1 #2 Share Posted July 1 When are you going? First, the Mexican Rivera is not the best place to snorkel, compared to the Caribbean or Hawaii, or many other snorkeling locations. Visibility can be poor. The water can be cold...again, when are you going? I definitely wouldn't be thinking about Ensenada. There are several threads about snorkeling a few spots in Cabo. canadian-nurse Posted July 1 Author #3 Share Posted July 1 Thanks for responding. We are going middle of March. We have been snorkelling many places and it’s our favourite beach thing to do. We have wet suits. Not a fan of long boat trips as I get sea sick when the boat stops and bobs.

Thank you very much for any help! You might want to look into going to Chileno Bay in Cabo San Lucas. I've never personally been but as others have said, the snorkeling in the Mexican Riviera isn't like the Caribbean or Hawaii at all.
Rare Hlitner Posted August 2 #6 Share Posted August 2 There is no decent snorkeling off the beaches of Puerto Vallarta. Many snorkel excursions will take their folks to an area called Los Arcos (a few large off-shore rocks) but we have found that area underwhelming. There are some better snorkeling spots south of PV, but that would not be a good option for folks on a cruise. Hank
SelectSys Posted August 22 #7 Share Posted August 22 I don't know if it is possible in a cruise stop visit, but Cabo Pulmo is a highly recommended area and marine park a bit north of San Jose del Cabo. https://sallysees.com/cabo-pulmo-bcs/
