The international cafe is open 24 hours and has food. Lots of food. May contain nuts. Like me!

That’s where you’ll get the almond croissants, but I think they only have them in the morning, until 10 or so.
I still dream of them. You’re warned 😉

The back deck with the bar behind the buffet restaurant was my favourite place, especially on sailaways. Not too many people there (that could also be because of chilly weather in May…)

I have discovered The Retreat!

We did the Mediterranean for 3 weeks on the Regal. Loved every minute!

I can see why! What a ship! There are so many spaces to linger, to listen, to lounge, to savour, to party. This ship has everything I need.

However, the library has issues.

The books are arranged tallest to shortest with no system whatsoever.

We only have two sea days…

On my British Isles cruise in May we ate in the MDR restaurants all evenings, convenient because my travel friend had mobility issues. And we had most of our lunches in the ports.
When I see all your mouthwatering photos from the buffet, I must say I regret not having more meals there. Some of our MDR meals were actually a little bit disappointing.

Yes, sorry I didn’t have time to fix this when I was onboard 😉

Laundry day

When I sent this photo to @fstuff1 he said Princess could save a lot of money by turning this space into inside cabins.

These machines are made for long-armed souls. I had to stand on my tiptoes and get real intimate with the washing machine in order to retrieve my undies.

There were chairs in the laundry room so I wrote, messaged with friends and made photo collages of the buffet.

There are 3900 passengers including 450 children on board so I made sure to have one little vanilla ice cream before a potential shortage happened.

If you are keeping track, what I have had to eat today is a small scoop of gelato and small vanilla soft serve. Apparently this is dairy day. Dairy day is similar to arm day or leg day in the gym but the opposite happens.

We used to own a Buick Century. It was clearly not meant to last 100 years.

Once had a Buick Skylark, small V8 engine ... a number of years later, Buick Century V6 powered ... and somewhere then, Pontiac Grand Am, V8 & custom dual exhaust.  The old days ... easy DIY oil & filter changes, spark plugs & routine maintenance, perhaps also b/c it was simple.  Nowadays, paid our trusty mechanic to deal with it.  One of the neighbors down the block has their Caddy from the 70's & still looking pretty as it's been garaged.

Mindset among some cruisers ... a 15 to 20+ years old cruise ships is too old to sail, times-r-changing, LOL.

PSA - those chocolate mousse cups on the top shelf are hands down my most fave thing to eat on Princess. I may or may not have several each time I see them...

Buckle up. I found the buffet. I have never seen anything like this.

Remember how I said I wander aimlessly and come back with bread. THIS. THIS is why. I get way too overwhelmed by all the choices. I'm not good with too much choice. Or too much buffet. Or Costco sized toilet paper.

I do not love the piazza. If there is music, it is blasting and you hear it everywhere. I am not a lover of loud.

Right with you on that one.  On the Discovery Princess they moved Sabatini's to the Promenade deck mid-ship.  A week ago we were eating there and the band was going full blast.  Would have enjoyed it if they had turned the volume way, way down.  We couldn't hear the waiter and couldn't hear each other talk when the band was playing - and we were seated by the windows, the farthest away from the Piazza.  I don't get why loud is so prevalent these days.
