I used to make my donations to the casino via the roulette table capped at $100, but expect it would take more than that to get a "free" cruise. 😂 During the restart, it was the "good old days", put $1000 into a slot machine, play it through a total loss, can basically receive any sailing you want comped, excluding the ships without casinos (Galapagos) for just fees and taxes. They even had a $20/night upgrade to go from a balcony to AQ. The Greenland cruises in AQ were like $13K all-in when I booked them

This is why I like Craps..

Was able to put together a side by side Reflection 6 days then Apex 7 days in December. Both OV rooms, and upgraded them which did not cost about 100 each to balcony and porthole verandah. I'm Onyx level and have never gotten a single offer! What am I doing wrong? I confess I have never called to check, but would much prefer to receive emails with them. Craps was always our "game" when we would go to Vegas - but that was back in the $1 and $2 minimums. Now, even the more old and worn down places seem to be $5 or more (Celebrity casino even more), so we trailed off playing much. When it was $1, $30 lasted a LONG time for us, and often left close to even. Now, say starting at $300 for close to the same play time is less enticing, but if I knew plunking down $1,000 bucks in the casino (even if losing it all) would get me a "free" cruise, I'd do it every time. Love craps, hate losing, but it's not a loss if I got a free cruise in return 🙂

dabear Posted July 11 #31 Share Posted July 11 Last time on X craps odds were 1x unless bet $25 ON THE LINE. WORSE ODDS I'VE EVER SEEN & WON'T PAY WITH THAT MUCH IN FAVOR OF THE HOUSE.

I usually play $25 on the line..3-4-5 odds then, or it was the last time I was on board last year..sailing again in September.. Pass line alone is 1.4% house edge, even single odds reduces that edge..I just enjoy playing in the evenings on a cruise..

I play $25 on the line in Las Vegas with multiple odds behind the line + come line or numbers bets. Odds are the only free bet in the house & multiples reduce the line bet as you stated. On a cruise primarily for entertainment & some local casinos I prefer $10 or $15 on the line with multiple odds. Regent, Oceania, (Azamara before they removed their casinos) & NCL provided that at $10 line bets. Edited July 11 by dabear

You play like I do..I too prefer a little less on the line..all it takes is a couple of good shooters on a cruise and you can make some bank while having fun.. Rare flyerbrp Posted July 11 #35 Share Posted July 11 At the Casino host desk and also at the Cashier you will find a desk poster in a stand up easel with a QR cade on it. Scan it and you will find what cruises are being offered for the points you earned on that particular cruise. Usually 1500 points earned gets an inside, 2000 Ocean view and 3000 and up veranda, concierge and suites. The points needed are fully posted at the cashiers window. I am Sapphire, my wife is amethyst. We can combine our offers for a one level upgrade ie my veranda and her inside or veranda earns concierge class. Royal and Celebrity match each others status. Virgin now matches status as well.

Rare flyerbrp Posted July 11 #37 Share Posted July 11 By the way for as little as a few hundred points earned on that cruise can get you several hundred dollars off up to $1000 off on a cruise. If you earn a “free cruise” you still have to pay the taxes and port charges. Could be as little as 250 up to 500 per cruise depending on length, ports of call, and embarkation point.

Clarifying that the status match is loyalty status match for the cruise club memberships and not casino status matching .. in case others reading this think otherwise. https://www.celebritycruises.com/ca/captains-club/loyalty-match Edited July 12 by poffles

AndyCapn Posted July 12 #40 Share Posted July 12 The blog entry on this site shows the number of points required to get a cruise discount or free cabin: https://urcomped.com/blog/details/3452347/celebritys-blue-chip-club-announces-onboard-certificate-program And yes, on my June cruise they did have this information at the cashier cage / host desk. After you hit the required number of points, ask the host to print you an offer sheet, which will have a QR code. It takes a fewer number of points to get a Future Cruise Bonus Offer, which you can book on board (or at least make the deposit).
ejnsb Posted July 12 #41 Share Posted July 12 I get offers practically weekly, email and snail mail and am currently booked on a 7 day for port fees and taxes. Yet, when I log on to bluechipcluboffers, none of those offers show up. I just have to watch my mail and act when I see something I like.

I am also seeing nothing on the offer page, it just says call..I know I am eligible for some offers..so everyone don’t totally trust that page.. Royal has them loaded on their site plus we receive emails and snail mail. For us, Royal has much better deals plus the perks are better. We go back and forth.
