I was very brave in a couple of cases… The menu… The amuse bouche was a tuna tataki. Absolutely NOT usually my jam. But I tried it and didn’t die or barf. It was good!! I did cut it into small pieces just in case. 🤣🤣 Next up the Ruben Racelette minus the rye. YUM!! And my second Brave was the crab cake - which they can do gluten-free. It was very good!! My entree was the filet - and since I couldn’t have the Wellington they gave me 2 filets. YUM! But I would have been fine with one. During dinner I had a Merlot - Columbia Crest. It was good. Dessert I had an option of the Butterscotch Crème Brûlée or the Strawberry Delight which they can do gf! I opted for that! I suspect the Aztec chocolate was not an option due to the mole which often has peanuts - I’m allergic. The view was awesome!! Once the sun was at a certain point they lowered the shades. I got 3 types of chocolate and a raspberry macaroon which I had them wrap for me because I am stuffed! At this point I cannot even think of going to Blu to pre-order for tomorrow. 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe I can pre-order during breakfast. Plans for the evening are up in the air. It all looks wonderful! Thanks again for sharing! Keep enjoying!

I have had it also served very finely chopped and mixed with finely chopped green onion. Tuna and Aji tataki are my favorites. I’m just saying what Jose my server told me. We have walked there from the Blue Lagoon Homewood Suites and enjoyed it a lot. We have never stayed at that Hampton Inn. How did you like it? Would you recommend? We ate there and loved it when we were staying at Hampton Inn, but that was probably 2018. 1

I have been had the Columbia Crest while in Luminae as well. I prefer the Benziger and asked for it by name the next time he sommelier recommended a merlot. I beleive Columbia Crest is on the Classic package, not that it makes a difference to me as long as it taste okay to me.

Rare abbydancer2003 Posted July 29 #106 Share Posted July 29 I'm following. I was on the Beyond with my sister in February, and DH in June. In February we never saw Captain Kate very much. We saw a lot more of Leo in June. By the way, the Eden cast did a show called the "Jazz Joint" in the Club on our cruise. If they do it, don't miss it. (And FYI, everything in Eden is called "Wonder at Eden", including the instrumentalist. The specific name usually follows it.) Have a great trip.

Gotcha! I am not usually a fish person, so I cut it into quarters so if I didn’t like it I wasn’t choking down a lot. ☺️

It was “Paradise”. And yeah - I am headed to the show in the Club in a little while. Yay! She just did the Bulgari “opening”. There won’t be Bug Trivia this cruise since they just got back on. 🥺 Edited July 29 by WrittenOnYourHeart

DingoMom Posted July 29 #111 Share Posted July 29 @WrittenOnYourHeart, I am loving your review!! Your report on Eden is fabulous! Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 29 Author #112 Share Posted July 29 So the show at The Club by the Eden cast - The Jazz Joint - was great! BUT… A word of warning! If you are remotely shy, DO NOT SIT in the pair of chairs in the front row on the right as you enter that is just to the right of the post. If you are the female half of a pair, you get picked to “participate”. Ask me how I know. 🙄🙄🙄 At least I have a rose in my cabin now. Time to crash. Tomorrow I have the All Access Tour - I had a card that offered $40 off, but when I went to redeem it, she kept saying 40% - which was considerably more than $40. And then I’m not sure. Probably staying inside since I sunburned my thighs watching Barbie. 4

Thanks for giving a girl the heads up!! 🤪🤪🤪 LOL. Kidding - I survived. I was the color of the top I changed into but I survived. The funniest thing is the guy next to me was just a random guy who was solo and sat in the other chair so we were totally not a couple. 🤣🤣🤣 I do wonder what they would do if there were 2 females (couple or not) or 2 males (couple or not) in those chairs. Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 29 Author #117 Share Posted July 29 Fun fact: if you are standing (or sitting) in the IV area and one of your neighbors raises or lowers theirs, you hear the motor very faintly. Not while you’re in the cabin portion. I just experimented. They are much less squeaky than they were on Edge though!! When I was on Edge you heard it being raised or lowered anywhere in the cabin. Speaking of noise, I have had no banging or creaking or popping. It’s been very quiet.
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 29 Author #118 Share Posted July 29 I was still very full from Eden so I just went with a smoothie this morning. I found a place for my rose. Waiting for the ship tour to begin. I keep toying with doing one of the sunset sails tomorrow…we’ll see.
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 29 Author #119 Share Posted July 29 The number of people who did not pay attention to the close-toed shoes and long pants instructions for the All-Access tour is amazing. It says it on the description online. They told me when I booked it. They called and left a message. And we have still had people have to go back to change or cancel.

Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 29 Author #121 Share Posted July 29 This is not a drill!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!! We were on the bridge during the tour and we heard a sound!! A beautiful sound!! BUG NAKED!!!! The poor officer doing the tour didn’t stand a chance! 🤣🤣🤣 (He said they’re used to it.) Oh, Captain Kate made an appearance too. 13
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 29 Author #122 Share Posted July 29 For the record, it is not super common (I didn’t see her on the bridge on Edge), but it does happen. And the officers who do the tour are just used to it because everyone wants to see Bug.

People don't read or think they are special. On my cruise one guy went into a rant about 'buffet not being open for breakfast' I told him it didn't open until 6:30. He was like 'no you are wrong yesterday it opened at 5:30 for early risers then normal breakfast at 6'. Yep, yesterday not that day - it was in the daily planner and in the app. Reading is fundamental - but yes he accused staff of not doing their job when he just never paid attention.

I've attended several bridge tours--hers was by far the most informative.
