StLouisCruisers Posted August 13 #5 Share Posted August 13 Good morning friends! It’s 68F here with a high of 92 and sunshine expected today. Wishing my DH a very happy birthday today and happy left handers day! Thank you Rich @richwmn for the Fleet Report and Daily as well as the ship location maps. I would love to celebrate Left Handers Day, National Filet Mignon Day, and National Prosecco Day. I like the quote, and find it amusing that zucchini is the latest fad on the menu scene here. I’m not sure I’d like the Dragon Berry Mojito or Riesling. It’s amazing a woman joined the U.S. Marines back in 1918. Thanks to Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope and Ann @cat shepard for your reports today. Prayers for my DB, twin sister, DD, the people in Israel and Ukraine, the hostages still held and our military members on bases and ships in a war zone. Many prayers for our Daily Care list people especially Tana and Terry, Chuck and Annie, Ann and Pat, Joy’s DS Bonnie, Nancy’s DB, Melisa’s DH, Jacqui, Elizabeth, Debbie, Roy, Terri and Jim. May you enjoy better health very soon! Cheers to everyone cruising, preparing to cruise, and celebrating their own special occasions. Thank you Vanessa @JazzyV for your work updated the lists for us each day! Great work! Today’s port is Seattle, Washington which was port of the day back on May 22, 2021. Yes I’ve been there but don’t think I posted photos. Someone else can show the Public Market Underground tour, lovely marinas and famous landmarks. Thanks in advance for your photos, and here’s the link for your convenience. I hope all of you have a very good day, and stay safe and well! 28
Rare MISTER 67 Posted August 13 #6 Share Posted August 13 (edited) Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 78 this AM with a high of 94 with a chance of PM showers, what else is new. Good selection of days, I’m basically right handed but eat with my left hand, shoot pool with my left arm and was able to bat both ways in baseball, write with my right hand and most importantly a righty on the golf course, I can catch a ball with either hand but can’t throw with my left hand, I’m a mess. Interesting quote. The meal sounds good. We have been to Seattle a few times, my first time was in 1967 when with the Air Force and took off from McChord Air Force Base with a nice flight to Vietnam. Have a great day and stay well. Edited August 13 by MISTER 67 32 2

Rare ottahand7 Posted August 13 #12 Share Posted August 13 Good morning. Thanks for the daily and maps Rich. My DS is left handed, no chance for filet for dinner today as we are heading to town, no one stocks it. Pass on the Prosecco. The quote is true for some lucky people who meet their perfect person. I just wrote a sympathy card note to a friend who lost her husband, they were such a couple. I have been to Seattle for business and instead of seeing the city we drove out of town to see a fabulous waterfall and dined at the restaurant above. Thanks for researching all of our comestibles ladies. I'll pass on the zucchini and the minty cocktail but would enjoy the Reisling from Oregon on a hot day. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Happy birthday to your DH Dennis @StLouisCruisers. Prayers for you as you go through your cataract surgery today @summer slope. Prayers for Tana and Terry and for Annie and Chuck. Prayers for Ann, Bonnie and everyone else suffering that we are unaware. Prayers for those in war zones through no fault of their own, Ukraine, the remaining hostages and the Innocents in Gaza. Prayers for the hostages who were injured and the family of the one that was killed yesterday. We are heading to town today, out of some staples like bread and salad supplies. My tomatoes are ripening so we are eating a lot of BLTs. Have a lovely day! Nancy 29

Special prayers fo rBonnie, Terri, Katherine’s friend, Sandi’s brother, Scottie, Chuck, Annie and Tana with Annie and Chuck at the top of the list...Happy Birthday Dennis. Happy Anniversary @Copper10-8 and Marie. I like the Jung quote.. I’ve been to Seattle many times but only once on a traditional cruise ship, a port of call on Crystal Symphony in 2011. A sad day for Aztec culture but a great day for women., The meal sounds interesting. .My alternative is Apple, Pear, and Cucumber Salad, Roasted Rack of Veal with Prosciutto and Sage, and Almnd and Orange Cake A La Mode as might have been served on SS Rotterdam V August 13, 1997 My day will start a bit on the late side. PT is at 10 and then I will start the shopping I would normally do around 7 so I will not do much once I’m back home.. Roy 35

smitty34877 Posted August 13 #21 Share Posted August 13 (edited) it is, in the low sixties and only reaching 80 later. We love this weather! I havnot been to the port, only the airport on the way to Anchorage for a cruise. I haven’t had filet mignon in a long time. My entire family was left handed with my Dad and oldest brother ambidextrous. The quote is a good one. @StLouisCruisers, Sandi, a veryHappy 76th Burthdayto Dennis! @summer slope,Dixie, I hope all goes well with your cataract surgery today We have had some tiring days but at least yesterday I had the aide to help. I think I am feeling my age for the first time. Hopefully things will be good today. Our teenager started football practice yesterday and looked so happy when he came home. I suspect he did well. Take care everyone and enjoy the day. Edited August 13 by smitty34877 33
Rare Denise T Posted August 13 #22 Share Posted August 13 Happy Tuesday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet report. Well, today started off interesting. I woke up to find that Fancy had gotten into the trash. She pulled the bag out of the can and had the trash strewn all over the living room. Luckily nothing messy. It gave me an excuse to do a quick vacuum. I would have thought she was still tired after our walk in the park yesterday. I think my cat Chase was in on it as he had a guilty look on his face. Working on my classes today. Grading and setting up for two new classes. 57 days until my cruise. Sunny and 80 today. Perhaps I will sit outside and do my work. Haven't been to Seattle yet. I will be sailing out of Seattle next May on the Eurodam heading to Alaska. @Copper10-8 Happy Anniversary! @StLouisCruisers Happy Birthday to your DH! Thinking of all on the care list. Celebrating with all who are celebrating. Have a safe and healthy day. 30
Rare kazu Posted August 13 #23 Share Posted August 13 Thanks for our Tuesday Daily, Rich.& thank to the F & B team. I’ll celebrate left handlers - I was born that way but My school teacher mother was determined to make me right handed. As a result I’m ambidextrous. I do far more with my left hand than my right. 😉 I like the quote today. Quick post with a very full plate. Didn’t want to whine here but on the weekend I got hit with dizzy spells - a lot of them. I didn’t make it to furniture one time - OUCH - and went down. It made it very hard to pack & prep for showings this week to put it mildly. Pharmacist advised to cut one prescription in half until I can talk to my doctor on Wednesday . It seems to help so hopefully it can be fixed. Busy, busy - house went live yesterday and the phone started ringing checking on times for showings. 4 today. Poor Ivan and poor me. And google burped - one of my spread sheets lost some of the tours. I’ll have lots of time to fix it later when the house is being shown I guess in between keeping Ivan happy. If I don’t get dizzy, have to tear out before the showings and get some bread and a couple of necessities. Have needed them for a couple of days but scared to drive with the dizzy spells. Carpets have been cleaned, finicky cleaning done where people tend to “look” ( would have to be done before I move out anyways) and other than a tidy up and put away toys, etc. house is set to show. It’s going to be a very LONG day. Prayers for those that need them & cheers to those celebrating. 27 13
