I completely agree, Michael!  This is a mess just waiting to happen.  Yes, I would buy into it, but I can see how it could all go terribly wrong for a lot of passengers.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out when it’s initiated.

Especially on ships with only Sabatini’s and Crown Grill. We were just off the Grand and already the managers in specialty venues told me that they were booked 100%. I also am waiting for what happens when a bartender tries to cut someone off at 25 drinks.  “I have unlimited drinks you have to serve me”. Between over drinking and over booked restaurants they probably need to beef up security

Exactly!  It will be interesting, for sure.

Technically they can cut you off at any amount if you misbehaving!

That is correct but when there was a 15 drink limit it was easier. I can foresee arguments and managers and security called into the dispute. Also the first suite guest refused free embarkation dinner is going to be a big issue when all the premier diners also want those tables who will get preference ?

The 15 drink limit didn’t mean they’d stop serving you, it just meant you’d pay for drinks after that (had a friend experience that on an at sea day once). I don’t see Princess as the party barge that is going to have a lot of trouble with this 👍🏻

We booked a cabin on the Star that includes Premium. We didn't pay the $80 per day it was just included in the cabin price. (yes I'm sure they added it to the price but we had no choice) I wonder if we will be upgraded?

I wonder if the price increase will be added to our booking or if we’ll get the old premier package? I’m guessing they won’t give us the updated package at the old price?

Just imagine 1000+ souls with the new Premiere Package.  While they are all entitled to unlimited free meals in the alternative restaurants, that assumes they iwll be able to make a reservation.  When we were on the Sky Princess (Dec 2023) we had the Premiere Package which included only 2 alternative restaurant freebees.  It was nearly impossible to get reservations (both the Catch by Rudi and the Crown Grill were totally booked on most nights).  With the new package and "unlimited" alterantive dining, anyone with that package will want to dine in the alternative restaurants every night!  And then add all the other folks who also want to try those venues (and pay for the meal).

Gonna be a real mess.

Hank, I think you’re right, I’ve also realised as we’re first time cruisers we’ll be at the back of the queue for making reservations, I’m seriously considering asking if we can change to Plus! and using the MDR and buffet

I do not think your "status" has much impact.  Once aboard you can use the Princess Medallion App to make reservations.  But even getting aboard early was not very helpful to us as nearly all the reservations were gone.  The problem (on our last cruise) was that many passengers simply booked reservations, pre cruise, and paid.  At the time, we called Princess and complained that the pre-cruise reservations system did not accomodate "free or included reservations" and they admitted it was a problem.

Go to your app- there should be an upgrade blue button. $10 pp per day to get the new inclusions.  Except button isn’t working yet.

You get your refund when you get on board after you go to guest services.
Go to

My experience with refunds on board was that they gave me a refundable on board credit.  I didn't use it while on board so they promised to mail the refund.  I had to wait over two months for the refund, and it came only after I filed a formal request.

ha! That cruise isn’t even in our app. Five calls to IT and it still hasn’t happened.

I don’t see it either. But I saw a post on FB about a change to Premier, raising it to $90/day and will include unlimited specialty . This change to begin August 31st and deployed on different dates throughout the fleet. They didn’t post a link just screenshots so I can’t verify it

Here’s the information.

Have you thought about loading it onto your casino account & then cashing it out in the casino?  Last December I had a 14 day cruise with a lot of OBC & twice I loaded some $ onto my casino account & cashed it out with no questions asked. It was money in my pocket.

Thanks, Tom.  I don't typically use the casino but I'll keep it in mind for future cruises.

Premier is back as a choice for Sky in 2026, but no one seems to be the project manager on this rollout.

They have everything that the package includes listed, but they didn't update where the word "NEW" should be.  They added Unlimited Specialty Dining, Max MedallionNet, Unlimited Premier Beverage Package - but they didn't add "NEW" beside them.  Instead they left "NEW" beside the old Unlimited Casual Dining, Ocean Now Delivery and Room Service Delivery.

(Just figured out that .png will show up in the post, but PDF will be a download.)

Wish Princess would actually go through the entire website and fix all of the little quirks.  If Princess creates a "New" $90 Premier Package, they shouldn't be listing old features as new - and they should be promoting the features that are actually new.

I guess it took everything they had just to get the packages to appear as a choice again. 😂
