Married to a retired US Navy Captain so I know that and that is not the point at all. Does anyone know when the Gem is arriving?

We were due in at 130 and got pushed to 330 by the harbormaster. Something about two bumpers having to be put back in place. I came here to see how much Gem has been pushed back. From her position now I'm guessing the are planning on 11:00am (Bermuda time)
PelicanBill Posted August 19 #53 Share Posted August 19 So Gem and Vision arrive late - I hope Gem can still get some decent time in; I suspect she has to leave Tuesday night to clear space for MSC Meraviglia. (Can 3 ships call on Bermuda? Don't think I've ever seen that?)
Rare mking8288 Posted August 19 #54 Share Posted August 19 (edited) Almost there & pretty close to that tiny beach resort near the fort. Looks like the Gem got a new & high resolution shipcam, sharp & clear images - can see the coral just under the water surface ... Just waiting for the pilot escort to sail that narrow channel, although Gem shouldn't need to worry Edited August 19 by mking8288
PelicanBill Posted August 19 #55 Share Posted August 19 Yay, Gem appears to be entering the channel
PelicanBill Posted August 19 #56 Share Posted August 19 Port cam has been on a guy on the dock leaning over working with someone in a boat below. And not wearing a flotation device. yikes.

Rare shof515 Posted August 19 #58 Share Posted August 19 In addition to the Gem get closer and closer to the pier, the tender boat that Norwegian uses to St George is on the way back to the dockyard to meet the ship.
PelicanBill Posted August 19 #59 Share Posted August 19 Oh that crane is there to put the catwalks back up, which must have been removed to prevent them from being damaged during the storm.
PelicanBill Posted August 19 #60 Share Posted August 19 It's funny to see how AIS destinations are not used precisely. Vision is set to King's Wharf, but Gem is set to Hamilton.
bluesea777 Posted August 19 #61 Share Posted August 19 I can see Gem - she’s docking now.
