Mrs f. Posted August 31 #1 Share Posted August 31 (edited) Is O still doing the art scavenger hunt? We'll be on in November. Lots of sea days to wander around Riviera. Edited August 31 by Mrs f.

We enjoyed it twice on Marina over the past few weeks...back to back cruises. They move the art around after every cruise, so new game each time. Just to be clear, the art itself (as well as other items among the scavenger pieces pictured) doesn’t move.
jackdeb Posted August 31 #8 Share Posted August 31 Keep in mind that not all the thumb nail pictures of the art are paintings or sculpture. Some are artistic interpretations of light fixtures or even parts of carpeting. Keep a very open mind.

On Riviera, they used slot machines and the red/blue light above ATM.
the mice Posted September 1 #11 Share Posted September 1 Did it on Vista last November - great fun. Was also offered on RIviera in Feb/March - would have liked to do it, but was way too busy to try on the few free sea days we had on our B2B. Besides, I needed some non-brain challenging R&R 😁

Typically no, but I did see a couple of workers moving some art once, but I’m pretty sure it had nothing to do with the scavenger hunt.

At first you think the thumbnail is a large portion of the picture...then you find out it is a 2" square flipped in reverse on a 6 foot tall painting! The pictures of sculptures are even harder, they could have been take from the floor looking sideways! Sadly in all our cruises it has only ever been done once, we ask every cruise. We generally get, "Sorry, not this cruise," or just a blank stare of confusion.

We always check the credenza like desk behind the Dinner reservations desk where there is usually a stack of them (at least on the Riviera) . Always enjoy the hunt and often crew will see we are looking and give us hints!
lcand1923 Posted September 2 #18 Share Posted September 2 I will be on the Vista in a couple of weeks, after not sailing Oceania for many years. Will the Art Scavenger Hunt be available on that vessel? Do I get a copy of it at the Front Desk or somewhere else on the ship? Thanks!
Cruisedreamer1 Posted September 3 #19 Share Posted September 3 I was told that the art you look for is not in the hallways of the cabins just in the open public areas. Be sure to check the spa, bars and even outside.

Also you will find some of them in the specialty restaurants.
