LOVE the EDGE class ships. We sailed ABC + Panama Canal with Captain Tasos on the Edge. I did the same thing with the pillows! I loved the white party, silent disco and we got a last minute trip to the Bridge. It was amazing. We did splurge for the Magic Carpet dinner on one night. It was great and only about 20 couples. Great food and lots of it. I wanted to enjoy a few more sunsets there but it was always so busy! We did book the bus transport when we got back home. Unfortunately, the bus throws your luggage under the bus and my beautiful luggage got tons of scratches. So my pro-tip is to be last to get on the transport bus (if you book that) and have your luggage be the last ones on the bus. Hope that info helps! We are sailing Solstice Aft cabin in Aqua in November and getting excited!

I have plenty of that for sure.

What are you hungry for?

We have visited all 4 main dining rooms.

We also did Eden Cafe for a couple of breakfasts and a lunch.

…to be continued….

Following along!  This is a great itin, love how many sea days.  Great pics too, enjoy the cruise!

Following along!  We were on Beyond in March and did Panama Canal (partial) and ABC islands.  Beyond was beautiful but we did not care for it.  We love the S class ships.

Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

The verdict is still out for us as far as Edge-class is concerned.  We are still on the honeymoon.

We love how Celebrity celebrates the “weird” but this ship may just be Beyond our comfort zone.

But Beyond is absolutely beautiful.

Fabulous pricing.

Nice to know a fellow “groupie” who knows a decent deal.

If you choose to do one excursion in the ABCs and one excursion only, you must do…

Lady Bellaïs

They are amazing!!!

Thank you!

I can see where you are coming from.

We are back on a Solstice-class vessel next year and again in April 2026.

We also have a couple of Millenium-class sailings booked for 2025-2026.

We will likely cancel our Xcel booking.

We always ask to have the decorative pillows and throw removed.  It looks nice but it just seems silly to have them put on the bed each day and I just remove them immediately.  Not sure how often they are cleaned either.  We have been on Apex and Edge several times and, I agree, the modern style is different.

Request:  Can you check to see if Le Grand Bistro is open only for lunch on sea days? I tried to make a reservation and it showed evening times - thought Le Petit Chef was in that location at night.  We do really enjoy lunch at the Le Grand Bistro.  Eden for lunch is a nice change too.

We will be on your Beyond in a couple of months and know we will enjoy her.  Really, any Celebrity cruise is fun.

on Ascent we did a  sandwich & dessert take out lunch  at the Bistro.  It was served to us at the small tables just outside of the restaurant part.. husb grabbed drinks at the bar next door.  Great sammies on fresh bread,  and  split a dessert   Lower cost, faster than the actual lunch menu,  and NO buffet bedlam.

Day 1 Highlights & Food Porn ~

We rolled our bags on board ourselves, dropped them in the stateroom, and went for an explore.  We found a nice spot by a window in the Oceanview Cafe to have a bite to eat.  Nothing to see here.

Captain Kate made her flawless welcome on board announcement ending it with “Let’s go Beyond.”

We hit the loud and crowded martini bar, but we did find comfortable seating in a cozy nook.

The poor fella across from us was relegated to this slipper chair.

There was no lychee garnish in my Lycheetini, but the waitress seemed to think they would turn up tomorrow once the provisions are organized.

Next we went to The Club for the 6pm LGBTQIA+ Get Together with Activity Host Gui.  This was a great venue because this was the largest LGBT crowd we have ever seen amassed on a cruise.  We have not cruised with partial or full charters and see no reason to.  We met some lovely people at the gathering.

Next was dinner in Tuscan.

Great service and a great meal.

Next we were off to The Theater for the show.

The theater is very impressive, but definitely a different breed compared to what we are used to.

Cruise Director Lewis introduced magician Matt Johnson’s 9:30 show.

The $5 million LED screen is quite impressive.  Nice to move on from the tatty theater curtains of yesteryear.  Looks like curtains to me.

I won’t spoil the ending.😉

With that we called it a night.

Day 1 on Beyond is in the books.

LGB was open 12-2 on Days 2 and 3 (sea days) but on those evenings it was the venue for Le Petit Chef.

Thanks Susan.  I did not want to disturb the Zen balance too much after ditching the tatty pillows and moving a chair inside.😂😂

I believe others have commented that they may be glued in place.

Form over function - a trade mark of the Hoppenized ships.

I will try to remember to check.

The tissue box on the vanity appears to be afixed.
