Gilliganluvsmaryann Posted September 22 #1 Share Posted September 22 I know there is a $30 charge per person. Can you choose more than one of something or is it just one selection per course? When we were on Beyond and dined at Eden the waiter brought us whatever we wanted and even brought us more than we asked for.
CHEZMARYLOU Posted September 22 #2 Share Posted September 22 Yes, you can have more than one of something. There is an additional charge for the sea food tower but they will customize it if there is something on it you don't like.
OldDECie Posted September 22 #3 Share Posted September 22 The Porch is not a restaurant wehave had the chance to dine in. As we will be on the Silhouette on an upcoming cruise, is lunch available on embarkation day?

Not a big fan of the crowds at the buffet. Would love it if Blu would be open for lunch ... just a wish. Would even pay for an MDR Embarkation lunch. Have you tried Sushi on 5 for embarkation day lunch? This is our go to when the MDR and Luminae are not an option.
Rare Georgia_Peaches Posted September 22 #7 Share Posted September 22 We dined at the Porch for lunch on a sea day and it was very nice...though very warm despite the circulating fan. No need for a reservation...they never seemed to be all that busy during lunch hours.

We have found the crowds dimished on embarkation day now that we can drop our bags in cabins immediately upon arrival. Not so many people hanging out in the OVC. jwlane Posted September 22 #10 Share Posted September 22 Staying on topic, we found servers at The Porch more than willing to provide just about anything desired. Actually, that's our experience with all the dining venues with X.

This is our go to when the MDR and Luminae are not an option. We are not sushi eaters, but found Sushi on 5 to be a wonderful place to eat! We did it on embarkation day and it was a nice place to go, sit and have a quiet, relaxing lunch. They have some non-sushi items and a wonderful Yuzu sorbet! We also tried the Porch. As @Georgia_Peaches said, it was hot. We had the lobster roll and it was pretty scant on lobster! We thought the Lawn Club was better.

It has to be purchased for every day of the cruise and everyone in the cabin has to purchase it. For our upcoming cruise it is $32/day. it does have some nice benefits, but some might be included with your AI package (if you purchased the AI).
