In the Orchid Garden, I was like a kid in a candy store!  I must have said "WOW!" a thousand times.  The collection puts our 400 sq ft greenhouse to shame!  Hopefully, I don't bore you with the many photos.  I did edit them down quite a bit.

I sure hope that Gardens by the Bay is on your to-do list.  That place is incredible too.  Hearing your descriptions of the heat brings me back to our trip there.  We live in Arizona so we know extreme heat but it's something about the heat and humidity in Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand that made it almost unbearable.  All amazing places but it did take a bit of getting used to.

I absolutely agree. I liked the Cloud Forest more than the Flower Dome, but for a Plumeria grower and Orchid hobbyist, you might like the Flower Dome more. Both are seperate ticketed domes. And of course, don't forget the Supertree Grove, best at dawn, wen the light come up and the heat is gone.

You can get a ticket for both or at least you could when we were there in 2019.  And the Supertrees are cool at night too.  We stayed at the Marina Bay Sands right next door for one night post cruise with a view over the Gardens by the Bay.  The light show at night was cool as was the one on the other side which we saw when we stayed 3 nights pre-cruise at the JW Marriott.  We didn't find the underground shopping areas / walkways until the last day when we walked all the way to the Marina Bay Sands from Chinatown - so much cooler!  Such a fantastic place to visit.

Haha, I think that's what most people do. Book just 1 overprized night  at the MBS for the infinity pool. I did the same. Other night at a more reasonable hotel. 😄

If it were me, I'd be keeping an eye online with a ship tracker as to when it leaves Sembawang on its way to Marina Bay.

Who knows what the "operational reasons " are but it may be because another ship is also at the terminal.  The last two times we have left Marina Bay terminal, there were two ships departing and there were people and queues everywhere. Singapore is so well organised in everything they do but the cruise terminal can be a mess.

We just received the below late embarkation notification from our TA.  Embarkation will be from 3 to 6 pm.  Sure glad we have a 4 pm check-out!

Does "operational reasons" mean they cannot find the keys or that they are trying to fix the leaks?

The Coral is the only ship at the terminal according to the port website.

Thursday when we went to see the port there were two Royal class size ships in port. Hopefully our little ship will not stress them

The interesting question will be how many see this notice.

Looks like the weather forecast here are as bad as they are in Hawaii. Was forecast to be cloudy but no rain from 1000-1400. Here's the 1220 radar shot. Hoping backside might be coming. Indoor mall shopping not my idea of a good day.

While waiting for the rain to quit, I looked up some food options we have seen. I have never seen the first three options on a ship but, then again they might be the extra items in the reserve dining

The durians are a large fruit with a nice custard inside but it smells like an outhouse that needs cleaning. It is forbidden to take them on the buses, MRT or into hotels.

The last two photos are very good food options. This is from the Berseh Hawker center. We saw only locals there

Yes, our booking via Amex gives us an early check-in and a 4 pm check-out.  It came in handy in April for our delayed embarkation in Sydney.  🙂

Our hotel is allowing us a 4pm checkout. I really do not know when to head over. I assume there will be the usual 9-10 am crowd. If they really are not starting until 3pm, it could be quite a zoo. Maybe Getting there at 4 will give them a chance to work through the largest part of the crowd.

Yes, on our list.  Probably tomorrow afternoon.

If you are up to it I also really recommend an early evening visit when they do the Supergrove trees light show. I think it's on at 7.45. Here is an example.
