Who to contact at Princess about new cruise contract policy?

I thought that's what it was about.  I can say personally, I'm really bothered to see it.  I hate the smell of the flavored vape and would be very upset if I got into a cabin where someone had been heavily vaping on the cruise prior.  We had friends that did this and I could smell it every time we walked into their home.

I'm happy to send along an email voicing my displeasure with this.

Let's not turn this into a debate about the health merits of vaping or smoking though please.

My DWs reaction to this was Ewww grosss.  Not health.  If they want to have vaping rooms that is fine with me.  I will not book one.

You could email:

csteinke@princesscruises.com  (Customer Relations)

If you want the head of customer relations at headquarters.

Could you share what you noticed?  I have some booked in 2026 also.

Was it allowing guests to use e-cigarettes in their cabin?

I usually contact:

customerrelations@princesscruises.com

Does OP have a sample complaint?

Thanks.  And I have sent mine.

I will send mine also.  It is gross.

I could not stand to read through that contract again.  Thanks for telling us,

what it was. 🥱

We did have a thread earlier on this subject.

BTW, my contract for a 2026 sailing, said “updated July 2024 version 1.0.”

My passage contract is for a cruise from Port Canaveral this December.  Same language, same version.

I hit Princess Cruises below the belt.  Just say it in your own words and it will be golden.  Personal experiences and comments are better than replicated ones.  Your complaint will be different from mine and make it more substantive.  Just supply your own thoughts...  Mine was very short and straight to the point.

Yes, I looked at a few of mine, same.

Except this is NOT the case for cruises  out of Australia.  Someone stated on the original thread today.  Vaping/e-cigarettes are NOT allowed to be used in the guests cabin. So, not sure about Asia/UK/EU etc.

EU? My 2026 Norwegian Fjords cruise has this language in the cruise contract...

I’m just wondering why they are allowing this all of a sudden? Maybe there are thousands of people that vape that stopped booking Princess and gave this as the reason.🙄

Maybe Princess needs to sell vaping rooms.  I would not purchase one...

Completely agree with you.  I just sent my email off.  Hope others do the same.

Right.

Now, we need to know if it applies to

cruises out of Asia//EU/NZ etc.

Good point.  I guess Norway is not in the EU.   You always have to look it up...

No, but Norway follows a lot of the EU rules.

I assumed you are sailing from the UK,

Southampton.

Yes...

That could be the solution for myself, if the rules are different sailing out of different countries.

Right.  You can't smoke indoors at all on cruises out of Australia.  They are very strict there.  I haven't found those restrictions anywhere except for Australia.

Good article from the American Heart Association.

In secondhand vape, scientists smell risk

While you may not be in the room while the previous guest are actually vaping, imagine how much of the noted substances will be stuck on the surfaces of your room. Especially if there are repeat vaping guests in your state room.

I wonder out of Singapore?  Interesting to know what contracts are affected.

Smoking in the casino was allowed when we cruised out of Singapore in 2019 and I haven't seen anyone say differently since then.

I believe that this is most of the concern.  If not allowed, the vapers might sneak an occasional vape subject to a charge if they are caught.  If it is allowed, they will be chain vaping...

Well this is interesting.  I asked Mr. Google about e-cigarette policies by cruise line and this is what came back:

ETA:  Never mind, checked one and the above wasn't accurate!

Even Princess' site is not self-consistent.   The FAQ page clearly states it is not permitted.

That said, I did all of my contracts prior to July 2024 and I do NOT recall seeing this, even though it is there now.    Also sent email.   Agree that if they are going this route, then just have vaping cabins!

I would expect the FAQs to change once the new cruise contracts are in effect...

I have not heard about this on 2024 cruises yet?

Check your cruise contract ...
