Promotional Emails

On September 19 I signed up to receive marketing emails form Oceania.  I received an acknowledgment "Welcome to Oceania Cruises" thanking me for my interest and a second email the same day.  Since then, nothing.  Is this typical?  Other cruise lines from whom I have agreed to receive emails send about three per week.  (Three per month would be a good number.)

I had the opposite problem. Had to "unsubscribe" because I was getting too many.

Once your on the list you'll be getting more than you--plus so many paper brochures you'll wish they stopped.

Indeed. It's a good job that trees grown to make paper are a renewable resource. Sort of.

Probably get an O brochure about every two/three weeks and a similar brochure cycle from our TA (which never mentions Oceania, always lots of mentions of some other lines - Celebrity, MSC, Princess, Norwegian. HAL, etc)

Refreshing to hear that somebody WANTS to get e-mails from a cruise line.  Since DW and I have been on 19 different cruise lines, and deal with several major discount cruise agencies, our norm is to get over 100 cruise-related e-mails every week.  Most get deleted without being opened as the reality is that most promotional e-mails have little to offer (we generally get better deals by simply using the right cruise agency).
