monicajay Posted October 4, 2013 #2476 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Just booked the Intercontinental Resort Isla Verde for Feb 6-9 using Hotwire. Paid $169/night (plus taxes/fees). :D Good Deal! We stayed there for 4 nights and loved it. We got it on Hotwire too and we got upgrade to an oceanfront room. This was a few years back. I wish it was available for our dates. I keep watching for it. Enjoy your stay and your cruise.

bunkiew Posted October 4, 2013 #2478 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Congratulations Monicajay, I've never stayed there but it looks nice from outside and its in Condado which I am hoping to get. Going to have to give hotwire a look. For a few days they were showing a 4* with free breakfast, anybody know what that was? Susan

Susan I believe it is : Ciqala Luxury Home Suites There is no pool so that doesn't work for me. :) I could be wrong but I'd trade breakfast for a pool anyday. vacationdealsgirl Posted October 6, 2013 #2480 Share Posted October 6, 2013 We're looking for one night pre-cruise in OSJ (Jan 10th). Hotwire has a 2.5 star for $98 with the only amenity listed as free internet. Anybody have an idea what hotel this might be? We scored LaConcha last year pre and post cruise for $109 and $129 respectively....booked thru Priceline about this time of year. Absolutely LOVED it! Good luck, fellow bidders, and thanks for any advice.
Spoofa1 Posted October 8, 2013 #2481 Share Posted October 8, 2013 Used Priceline, 3 1/2 stars area San Juan bid $75 a night and it was rejected, came back that I could increase my bid by $18 one time only and for $93 per night got the Raddison on Ashford Avenue for Oct 31st and November 1st, with taxes it was $217.00. Mixed reviews on the property, we have stayed at the Caribe Hilton and Condado Hotel that are rated 4 stars but paid a much higher price in previous years. Will update our experience in this hotel when we return from vacation. Spoofa

You will see a big difference in quality and for the ten dollars it seems like it is not worth it. Go checkout Hotwire for your date..... There is a 4 star with breakfast for 2 for $124 in Condado and a 4 star with breakfast in Isla Verde for $133. Seems like a better deal:) Edited October 11, 2013 by cherylroslyn

foxjim1 Posted October 19, 2013 #2484 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Just booked the Intercontinental Resort Isla Verde for Feb 6-9 using Hotwire. Paid $169/night (plus taxes/fees). :D That's a real good rate on Hotwire we paid $208:00 plus taxes for Jan 31. Don't forget they add an additional 18% (I think) for a resort fee that you pay at the hotel.
