Just booked the Intercontinental Resort Isla Verde for Feb 6-9 using Hotwire. Paid $169/night (plus taxes/fees). :D

Good Deal! We stayed there for 4 nights and loved it. We got it on Hotwire too and we got upgrade to an oceanfront room. This was a few years back.

I wish it was available for our dates. I keep watching for it.

Enjoy your stay and your cruise.

Congratulations Monicajay, I've never stayed there but it looks nice from outside and its in Condado which I am hoping to get. Going to have to give hotwire a look. For a few days they were showing a 4* with free breakfast, anybody know what that was?

I believe it is : Ciqala Luxury Home Suites

There is no pool so that doesn't work for me. :) I could be wrong but I'd trade breakfast for a pool anyday.

We're looking for one night pre-cruise in OSJ (Jan 10th). Hotwire has a 2.5 star for $98 with the only amenity listed as free internet. Anybody have an idea what hotel this might be? We scored LaConcha last year pre and post cruise for $109 and $129 respectively....booked thru Priceline about this time of year. Absolutely LOVED it! Good luck, fellow bidders, and thanks for any advice.

Used Priceline, 3 1/2 stars area San Juan bid $75 a night and it was rejected, came back that I could increase my bid by $18 one time only and for $93 per night got the Raddison on Ashford Avenue for Oct 31st and November 1st, with taxes it was $217.00. Mixed reviews on the property, we have stayed at the Caribe Hilton and Condado Hotel that are rated 4 stars but paid a much higher price in previous years. Will update our experience in this hotel when we return from vacation.

I would not think of bidding on a 2.5 star hotel in San juan after you did four stars last year. You will see a big difference in quality and for the ten dollars it seems like it is not worth it.

Go checkout Hotwire for your date.....

There is a 4 star with breakfast for 2 for $124 in Condado and a 4 star with breakfast in Isla Verde for $133.

Seems like a better deal:)

That's a real good rate on Hotwire we paid $208:00 plus taxes for Jan 31. Don't forget they add an additional 18% (I think) for a resort fee that you pay at the hotel.

I decided to take a gamble to save some money-

This morning I did a 3.5 star through Priceline express deals for 11/28-11/30

I got Double Tree Hilton, queen with a murphy for $88 per night, two nights $205 incl tax. I like that you have free access to La Concha and Marriott Resort Isle Verde with this booking

Saturday night I went 4 starts for the vibe and casino action- Was listed for $117

Very happy to get the Marriott Stellaris for $158.00 with tax, considering it is sold out online.

Cancelled my previous reservation (at Stellaris) and am saving a few hundred for shopping :):)

anybody ever use price line & need to have 4 people in one room? the rates u get r based on 2 people, right? we r a family of 4 & i'm wondering if anyone has had a problem with this?

We went through Hotwire for our 4/room. They let you add kids. :D Got a 4* for $132 pre-cruise in February! I'd never tried it before and it is a bit scary. Will call the hotel for sure before we go to confirm there's bed space for all of us.

Yep, I know I am way too early, but I have a planning problem.

I bid on Priceline over the last few days (starting at $90 for a 4 start), I bid again today and got La Concha for $110 for one night pre-cruise October 31, 2014 (plus tax, $132.10). I'm happy with that, it looks like a nice place.

Just won Radisson Hotel and Casino 3 1/2 stars on Priceline for night of Feb 8th for $101. Was trying hard for a 4 star but this looks of for one night!

We stayed there for 1 night Nov 1, 2013. Nice hotel for one night and I liked the area.
