Abuelita2012 Posted September 16, 2013 #1951 Share Posted September 16, 2013 Amazed to see that you were on the Patch. I came back on that ship on that date and never thought I would hear from anyone on that trip. It had 200 small children on it as I recall. How interesting!!!!!:) last chart of the fleet update was post 1919 on Sept
CountrycruiserNL Posted September 16, 2013 #1952 Share Posted September 16, 2013 We cruised a couple years ago on the Century and had the best waiter and assistant EVER! How can I find out if Carmelo and Vish are still on the Century? Would LOVE to be at their table again in November! Thanks
Rare cruisestitch Posted September 16, 2013 #1953 Share Posted September 16, 2013 This is very difficult to find out. Contracts begin and end, vacations happen, transfers to different ships happen, and it's nearly impossible to find out who will be on a given ship in advance. Good luck, perhaps someone will happen to have met them and know where they were recently, but even that doesn't predict where they might be in November. wvufan Posted September 16, 2013 #1954 Share Posted September 16, 2013 On this thread I previously mentioned that I disliked Melissa based on my one sailing with her on the Mercury. I also noted that there was a CC member who intimidated her and that may have created the problem. I am currently on the Summit with Melissa and retract anything negative I ever said. She is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Happy Sails to You OOOEEE :D:D Bob and Phyl
C 2 C Posted September 16, 2013 Author #1955 Share Posted September 16, 2013 Ante from Croatia, who we had as a waiter on Zenith, has recently been promoted to Maitre'd on Solstice. Congratulations Ante. It is a pleasure to watch the progression of employees up the "chain of command" as the years pass. Touch Ung, GRM on Constellation, just left for holidays. WestLakeGirl Posted September 16, 2013 #1957 Share Posted September 16, 2013 Good assistants get promoted to waiters and good waiters get promoted to specialty restaurants so even if they are on the same ship they may no longer be working together

Great news about Ante. Knew him as a waiter and as Asst. Maitre'd. Been on several cruises with Touch and always enjoy seeing him. Last time was on Century (I believe) where he was serving as Hotel Director. From what I could see he was doing a fine job.
CincyAL Posted September 16, 2013 #1959 Share Posted September 16, 2013 Yes, I sailed on the MSTS (USNS) Batch out of Brooklyn Navy Yard to Bremerhaven, Germany almost 40 years ago. There was a separate area near the "troop area" for kids. It took 8 days to Germany. Only 3 1/2 desks for passengers-at many cabins used common bathrooms down the hall. Unheard of today! C 2 C Posted September 16, 2013 Author #1960 Share Posted September 16, 2013 Jason Banyon, executive chef on Constellation, will be leaving Celebrity to spend more time with his family. It was a real pleasure sailing with him on Millennium last year and we will miss him on our upcoming CS sailing. We of course wish him all the best. HLN500 Posted September 18, 2013 #1968 Share Posted September 18, 2013 She is absolutely fantastic. Last sailed with her on the Millie in April and she and her fiancé were hoping to go 'down under' on the Solstice. With all the problems on the Millie not sure if they've been reassigned or what. If anyone has an update as to what ship she's on would appreciate a post. Thx

Thx Glad you liked her because I thought she was absolutely awful. She almost cost Celebrity my businss by telling me that I did not qualify for Blue Chip Club. She was so nasty about it and told me "we only invited one person to join Blue Chip Club this entire sailing". I asked to speak to the Casino manager and she told me he couldn't help me.... When I had my play evaluated by land based operations, not only was I Blue Chip, but my rooms have been "comped" ever since, and my next sailing I had a $1400.00 dollar credit in cash waiting for me at the casino cage........far cry from not qualifying. The "Social Hostess" position disappeared a long time ago.. The Captain's Club Host(ess) was the reincarnation of the position and I believe that Lionel is the host on board Connie now.
