We got off the Solstice on 8/16. There are changes to the staff.

 

Captain Zisis Taramas

Staff Captain Dimitris Petras

Hotel Director Jan William Kuipers

GRM Mario Tavares

CD Patti Honacki

Chief Engineer Stavos Zannikos

Food & Beverage Mark Tomley

CC Host Chandru left on 8/16 for 5 month holiday now Tanushka

Bradley is acting HD on SI i understand, then Christophe takes over as his permanent ship.

Sue Richardson is joining the SL on 7th Sept as her permanent ship (seeing her at the w/e)

Alejandro is CD on RF I was told on Saturday (by HD) covering for Damien - moved over around 2 weeks ago.

Julian goes back to RF on Oct 4th

 

and as you probably know Bernhard has gone to the Independence (as of 10th Aug)

Bernhard is among the very, very best. Dining at one of his Captain's Tables was a real treat. Will miss seeing him on Celebrity.

Just off the Century:

 

The Executive Chef is Ronald Sioson. The Party Band is Twist of 8 and the Celebration Band is playing in the smaller venues. Jessica Darrah and Jonny Manta are the vocalists/guitarists playing, in Cova Cafe, along with pianist /vocalist Carlos Avalon.

In February, Donna Trembath told us she would be CC hostess on the Silhouette when we sail Oct. 8. On speculation, she might fill in that white space in the chart.

 

Hope she'll be on for the December 1st crossing. Donna is wonderful!

Can someone share how/where you get these charts? Is there one for the September sailing of the Solstice, Ensenada to HI as well as the October sailing, HI to Sydney?

 

Rich Clesen says he is joining the Solstice tomorrow as CD but only for one or two weeks, then is joining the (limping) Millennnium as it heading for the Bahamas for repairs.

I make up the charts based on the information provided by returning cruisers. I saw Rich's post as well but few of my contacts post on fb as Rich does.

 

Sue Richardson will soon replace JW Kuipers for your Solstice Cruise.

Paul Baya will be the CD on Solstice replacing Patti in September.

Rich is on Solstice as a virtual tourist. ;)

Does anyone know the whereabouts these days of the Weir brothers, Simon & Nick? The last I heard, Simon had traded ships for CEL corporate life in Miami. Haven't heard anything about Nick.

 

The last time I saw both of them was in December on Reflection's

3 night Inaugural sailing. Don't know what they are doing on a "regular

basis".

Here is the "In The Spotlight" Info from my recent Reflection cruise 9-19th of August 2013.

 

There has been a change in command on August 12th, new Master of Vessel for the next months is Capt. Apostolos Bouzakis.

Hi, just got off the Silhouette and staff were as follows:

 

Capt: Emmanouil Alevropoulos - who was fantastic

Staff Capt: Vittori Cantu

Guest Relations Manager : Cameron Robertson

Chief Engineer: Konstantinos Pechlivanidis

Hotel Director: Bradley Pavlik

Cruise Director: Lisa Richards - the best we've had yet

Activities Manager : Tyler (can't remember his last name but he was fabulous!)

Food and Beverages Manager: Koray Savas - very high profile

Executive Chef: Anthony Wilson - the food was the best so far.

 

Have to say, out of 3 cruises on Silhouette it was the best one yet. Thanks to all.
