I want to set something up for my roll call to have a Meet&Greet....do I have to go through Carnival to set something up or just set something up on my own to meet up in a lounge on the first sea day?

In my experience, Carnival is the least helpful in organizing meet & greets than any of the 5 cruiselines we've sailed.

What works best for DH & I on Carnival is to just set a time, date and place with roll call members.

On our Triumph cruise in January our roll call decided to meet in the Olympic Bar (sports bar) on the first sea day but soon discovered it was a mistake due to the noise and chatter coming from the casino next door. The two rooms are not separated by a door. It's all open.

For our April Triumph cruise we are planning to meet on the first sea day in the Piano Bar. Although the entertainment venues in that area are not officially ``open'' in the daytime, the doors to the piano bar are open and it is very quiet in that area of the ship at the time we're planning to meet. We've set our time and date as 11 a.m. on the first sea day.

Good luck with your roll call's meeting.

Dianne

I noticed how unhelpful they are lol. What we are thinking of doing is purchasing a 1 hour open bar party with snacks...........the prices are very good.

My cousin got married on the Triumph a couple years ago. It was my first (and to date only) cruise, but we all had a great time! Link to a very small gallery of the ship.

Thank you for the pictures, which port of call was the last pictures taken at?

what kind of pictures are you looking for?? I have had a cabin on the spa deck... ( 2 years ago before balcony) and then an extended balcony room a few weeks ago.... loved that room!!!!!! :D

My wife and I have booked cabin 6459 on the Triumph. It's straight across from the cabin you had (6432). I was just curious if you experienced any excessive noise from the Club Rio on the deck below. Thanks

Loo0king at the deck plans of the Triumph for those of you with aft balcony cabins below or above Club Rio, I'm thinking that you really won't have much problem with the noise from the disco.

You may get a residual from the base vibs from the disco but overall it won't be too bad.

We had a cabin on NCL Spirit in Nov. that wasn't directly over the disco but within a few yards over the disco. I really enjoyed hearing the base vibs from the disco at night. DH never heard a sound from the disco once he took his hearing aids out of his ears.:)

You're welcome! Yes, as dz63 said, that was Ocho Rios in Jamaica. That's where my cousin got married (the preacher came onto the ship from the island, the wedding was in the Oxford lounge, reception in the disco.)

  • 2 months later...

Just back from the Triumph yesterday, what a great Cruise. We really enjoyed the ship and the food. Lots of things to do at night and during the day. Our hot spot was the NY Deli in the buffet area open from 11AM - 11PM, sandwhiches made fresh however you'd like...you order they make it...GREAT!

Thanks for posting! We are on the June 29th sailing and have been reading the reviews. How were the lines in the buffet and getting back on the ship at the new terminal in Saint John? Any idea why the June 25th sailing has been cancelled? Someone mentioned problems with the air conditioning and sewage systems (they were on the main deck) during your cruise. Did you experience any of that? Thanks again and glad you had a great cruise!

I have to wait until NEXT June to sail on Triumph! We have cabin 2452, the big corner aft cabin on Main deck. Has anyone seen this cabin? It looks HUGE! I am so excited, can't wait to get back to Mexico.

I am on the June 25th sailing and I haven't heard that it has been cancelled. When I log into Carnival's website it says I cruise in 9 days. Where did you hear this?

Lines in the buffet were only bad around the main lunch rush hour. We didn't do much in Saint John, just walked around really and was back onbard really early the lines were'nt bad for us getting back on. I was on Upper deck (6). I really didn't smell anything and I did walk about a few of the decks.

I panicked when I read that, too, but I think what that poster was talking about was several months ago when Carnival cancelled their original 6/25 itinerary (a 9 day trip to Canada) and replaced it with the four-night/five-night currently scheduled.
