Thanks Linda I have to tell you though, the photo doesn't do the dress justice. Its much prettier in person. It says it is made In India and every time I look at it...I think someone sat there and used their hands to sew each bead...and all the lace. It is the prettiest dress I have EVER bought...that includes my wedding dress too.

It might be black but it outshines the dress I wore that day.....19 years ago.

.....Lois, I meant to write this morning. I found the photo taken at Paridise Point in St. Thomas breathtaking (how's that for a big word?) the two cruise ships out in the distance is the capper! Just something for you to think about....there is a very similar view if you are on the White Pass & Yukon Train out of Skagway. You are riding a train that is over 100 years old, climbing up beautiful green hills and all of a sudden the landscape opens up and you have a view of probably 1000 feet or more down and way way off in the distance you can see the cruise ships at the dock, waiting for your return!

 

I wish I had a scanner but alas I do not. All the pic's I took in Alaska are 35 mm. I would love for you to see the one I described. Two photo's taken half a world apart could be so much alike.......guess you will just have to start thinking about cruising Alaka!!

Hi Cat ohhh I plan on doing Alaska...not sure when but it is in the Cruise Forecast .

 

And yes...life is funny like that...2 worlds apart and its almost the same picture.....

Traveling is such a wonderful thing. I have met people who have no desire to go anywhere. I guess that is what makes us all unique. They enjoy the "safety" of where they live.....I prefer the wanderlust in me....If I could travel the world...I would do it.

After I posted above I read Linda's post about a group cruise....just though wouldn't it be nice if another trip like the Hawaii one opened up! All of you infinatics sure grabbed a good one.

 

When we were on the Mercury last month I was talking with the future cruise agent on board (forgot his name) I asked him why the one Hawaii R/T in December....he told me it was just a fill in before their Panama Canal Holiday Cruise and he said "The low fare was to get a full ship and they will more than make up for it on the holiday cruise"....and he also said thanks to Cruise Critic the trip sold out in 3 weeks! Now that I have said all that......When and Where are we going?

Cat..we posted at the same time LOL....the Cruise Consultant is Manuel...really nice person .

Talk to ROSIE about the group cruise! ...she likes the M Class Ships..I love the C...but she said the Century would be good..good? LOL more like GREAT...FANTASTIC....STUPENDOUS ..then she and her hubby could hop on the Summit for another 10 days .

Lois - I really enjoyed your pics. Your dresses are beautiful, just like you. I think you need to FedEx them to me for my upcoming cruises, LOL..we are about the same size I think.
