Cruise Comic Strip

Recommended Posts

As I read many of the threads I can't help but create this comic strip in my mind.

Frame 1, Character 1.

"How was your cruise?"

Frame 2, Character 2.

"Hated it. Everyone was different than me and nothing was like it is at home."

Frame 3, Character 1.

"So, why do you cruise?"

Frame 4, Character 2.

"For the experience and diversity of new people, places, and cultures."

Very cute. I'd love to see it--might even make a good greeting card.

How about this one:

A waiter comes up to his table in the dining room, filled with crabby people.

He says, "Pardon me, folks. Is anything all right?"

You must include the couple at Guest Relations demanding compensation because while the cruise line's brochure shows nothing but sunny skies (surely an implied guarantee of good weather), their cruise was absolutely ruined by afternoon showers.

Well, this is funny and it was not a complaint:D

(And it is true). While on CENTURY last week 2 friends and I

were sitting in the shade near the pool. The ship was in port

and most everyone was off the ship. It was like having our

own private hotel:)

Anyway, the Captain is walking along and stops for a few minutes

to chat with us. One of my friends says to the Capt..."So, they

let you out"?;)...the Capt's timing is perfect and he replies....

"If you were parked in your car, wouldn't you get out, rather

than just sit there?":D.....I guess you had to be there, but

his reply was simply PERFECT!

THe best I have heard- "I don't see why the Captain can't make this ship stop rocking" and second best-"I think they should put windows in all the cabins."

And Ed you could post a sign at the door to the buffet that states "all waffle irons are out of order"..just remove it when you are done, thanks..:D

Can't wait to get back on board to hear some more funnies..

Had someone ask me "Does this elevator go all the way to the front of the ship ? "

Lois: I love the Capt.s response :D

Yes, it was great...and if you knew my buddy, it takes a lot

to keep him from answering....the Capt certainly did that;)

we all laughed:D

Oh, there are those folks who also ask

"Does the crew sleep on the ship at night"?

"No one goes to the waffle line any more, it's too crowded".

Okay, I have to ask, having never sailed with Celebrity before this coming summer.

Are the waffles really that great? I only ask because I haven't had waffles or pancakes since my Grandfather died a year ago and I would hate to be disappointed by over-hype. :)

Here's one I can't understand. People waiting on the next to the top deck for a "down" elevator won't get on the one going up. It's only going up one floor then it starts down! We've all seen elevators pass the floor you are waiting on so I say grab the sure thing. The time it takes to get to your floor will not be any longer and it may even be shorter .

Many people think they are great:D...others will tell you differently.

Remember, food is a SUBJECTIVE topic. What is delicious to one

person, is not good to someone else.

Try 1 and see what you think.:)

Thanks Texed. It is a Waffle after all:);):D

Some people might think they are over-rated while others

of us love them. :)

Actually, did you know on CENTURY they did not have

a "Waffle Station" like on Mercury?...they were located

forward of the Buffet, rather than AFT. It definitely

threw me off...not literally, thankfully!

But it was confusing. I am so used to them being starboard

AFT.

Hey Ed..

Do they still have the "orange butter" that went

with the waffles the last time I was on ~X~'s CONSTELLATION?

We're booked her again for this fall. I still remember

how well that orange butter went with the yummy waffles.. :p

On our last cruise they had orange butter, whipped butter, regular butter, blue berries, strawberries.......etc. etc. etc.

WOW! I sure am getting hungry. :D
