RuthC Posted May 27, 2009 #103 Share Posted May 27, 2009 While we're on formal wear, in the female catagory: Are shoulder pads in or out? If the dress is sleeveless, they are definitely out. ;)
Rare Copper10-8 Posted May 27, 2009 #104 Share Posted May 27, 2009 Shoulder pads are for football players. And hockey players, Ma'am!;) And I even believe those LaCrosse dudes have 'em
EduTravler Posted May 27, 2009 #105 Share Posted May 27, 2009 Out, according to my teen-age daughters. I took some out of some tops and I do agree with them.
noteasilyimpressed Posted May 28, 2009 #106 Share Posted May 28, 2009 Actually, LOL, take a look at E online and the most recent pics of Beyonce. You'll see that 'linebacker' look is once again back in, though not necessarily a good look. Balenciaga et al and Louis Vuitton have been trying to make shoulder pads have a comeback as of late. Still, I maintain, if you wore it the first time around...;)

twinkletoes4445 Posted May 28, 2009 #112 Share Posted May 28, 2009 While we're on formal wear, in the female catagory: Are shoulder pads in or out? I just bought two Alex Evening sparkle jackets with a camisole and they have pads. I asked the clerk about this and she said they are back in style. I am not sure about that, but I left them in for now. I probably will cut them out, although they aren't that big (not like the huge shoulder pads of the 80's), when I go to wear them.
