Craps Players Step Inside!

It is your money till you make your next move whether cashing in or betting. Some people that are ahead think of the money as the casinos. Not a good way to look at it.

Uncle Sam considers it all his money. He wants a piece of your winnings but not your losses.

I set the dice as well and stand in the first position to the right of the stickman so I can throw right handed..

I cannot guarantee my results but I seem to do well enough to be able to play the table all by myself and win. I've had numerous long rolls hitting my numbers a couple of times in a row but I'm not ready to quit my day job. My longest roll was 30 minutes so far; was that luck or skill? I don't know, but I'll keep trying.

Three card poker goes too fast for me. My wife plays the three card poker side bet on Let It Ride. She has had some sizable wins at it.

I'll play blackjack if the craps is not open. But its a long hard grind to make any money. I do enjoy watching those that split 10's.

How can any game besides craps and roulette go to fast??? The dealer can not move forward until you have decided to play your hand. Players control the pace of the game at 21, let it ride, 3 card poker etc..

Here is what I was thinking instead of playing my "usual":

Roll #1

- $60 DP Bet w/$2 Yo

Roll #2

- $30 DC Bet

- Place $72 inside, $100 no 4 and no 10

Roll #3

- #45 DC Bet

- Drop to $48 inside and only one $100 no 4 or 10 bet

After third roll, come down off of the inside bets and the no 4/10.

My thinking with this strategy:

I see the numbers coming on the inside and I think I could make money money on those with the place bet. Of course, If a 4/10 come out I lose the $100. But even if I lose the $100, I'm still in 2/1 position with the $45 or $30 to win a portion of it back. Another option is on Row #2 to not place the 5/9, but only place the 6/8...and leave only one lay bet up...but I haven't thought through that yet.

Just curious to get thoughts/constructive criticisms.

How exactly would you be spreading your $72 and 48 inside? $6 on 6 and 8 and $30 on 5 and 9? Or $36 on 6 and 8 and $0 on 5 and 9? $66 and $44 would be more reasonable. I've watched people lay the 4 and 10 progressively, each time taking their winnings and adding it to their original bet. They all lose eventually. The reason the casinos spend the extra $1 in ink to put those numbers on the layout is they DO roll.

I feel the ONLY way to win at craps is to be flexible enough to change your betting style. Always play the do or the don't and in the long run you'll lose.

Sure, I can slow the game down by delaying my decisions but some players fold leaving fewer cards to be dealt across the table.

On a cruise ship with inexperienced or casual gambler, my observation is that blackjack with a full table goes slow because several people can't add up their cards, and/or ask what should I do as their turn comes around? Split those 10's?

The $72/$48 were typos. Basically suggesting three units all of the inside numbers and no 4/10 to protect it if there a quick 7.

I agree with you about not always playing the pass/don't pass. Curious to understand a bit more about your strategy in changing your betting style. how do you play it?

Dear Casino Player,

Hello ooooo !

You always say such truisms!

Are you aboard the Princess Players Club event next week r/t NE/CA next week? it is on the CP aka CB from Red Hook. We are on Aloha.

Seeing youall again is always our pleasure and honor. Hope your winning is still way forward now.

Did you see the very recent settled case in A.C., NJ the Casio lost. They are bring suit against the playing card mfg. saying they did not shuffle them enough.. ;)

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO Grandpaul: Not a true statement. If the money belongs to the Casino it is there's. If you put it out it is yours. If you fail to beat the House it becomes their money. If you win it is your money.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO AAAAmerican: Glad to see that you are on another cruise. Unfortunately, I have plans to be on another cruise this fall. Like every other gambler I have my winning and losing streaks. I try to have longer winning streaks though. Yes, I saw the case. The cards did not come as ordered so they may have a case against the manufacturer. That is another case though. Have a good time on your cruise and I hope that we will be on another cruise together.

That was such a bizarre story. I don't see how they get away with not shuffling the cards in plain view of players and/or the eye in the sky.

I had my own interesting situation with some cards at a black jack table in Las Vegas earlier this summer. They had to bring in a all new cards to make up a fresh shoe. Took a long time.

Just sharing a small success story from a few weekends back. I was in Mississippi at the Island View casino with some time to kill. Got on the craps table with $200.00. Started with my normal bets (Pass line with odds/6,8,9 & all hardways) was down to last $60.00 within an hour.

New shooter came to the table and had a good 10-15 minute roll. Had a lot of bets down, every number covered with at least $15.00 per number. All hard ways $5 a piece.

Ended up walking out with $580.00 when he finally went out. So, made over $380.00 on his roll. Said thank you very much and headed back to the hotel. Always like those bounce back runs after a few bad ones in mid-afternoon play.

Dear Casino Player,

Helloo oooooo!

Thank you for your kind, thoughtful and well sent words. We do wish youall were aboard.

Yes hope to be aboard GOD Willing on this short 1 week , Casino Cruise on Princess Ship (CB). Sorry you and your family are not going to board her. I love the Northern Ports of Call. Only wish more Cruise lines did Longer R/T via NJ/NYC !

We as well are looking into the Fall Cruise. Probably the Carnival Ship we have been on from the first launch in NYC, NY as we have seen a great low cost basis. Ports of Call oh well not the best but what can anyone expect at $ ** a night, a pure financial delight.;)

Are you going to be a (Miracle) player?

You with your Gambling Methods are just plain modest !

On that case now coming I guess it adds a new meaning to a "Card Case".

I do hope all your winning streak is extended.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO AAAAmerican: I have tried to contact you several times using the address you gave me. It kept coming back to me as undelivered. Anyway, my wife and I enjoyed cruising with your wife and you. We also enjoyed spending some time with your in-laws. Very nice people. Hoping that we will be on another cruise again. Next year we are hoping to be on the Carnival Splendor which is being transferred from the west coast to the east.

Dear Casino Player,

Hello oooooooo

Thank you :cool:for being so kind, thoughtfu,l words, actions, deeds, and being GREAT! You and your wife were the best!

We had a wonderful time with youall.

I wonder on the eMail did that.

What a PITA a lot of it is as a normalcy.

It is still :

1>)

Our last name @att.net

Or the lowest character one is:

2>)

buy ATTHE(@) att.net

I was never on the Carnival Splendor. (yet)

Coming East ..maybe now the odds increase ..

On the last ship trip we took my InLaws but he got ill and was in sickbay and had to be transported to St. Lukes/Roosevelt which is not the best hospital , doctors either.

I had called on our SAT. Phone to the Insurance and Port Agent to arrange the ambulance to NJ critical care. But on arrival in Town the Agent would not allow this.. I think a lot of them are from Pituityville.

He had a few practicing M.D.'s and all misdiagnosed. So they sent him to NJ here to you know.. But our Doctor I put on it right away and she knew withing a day what was wrong and saved his life. Sometimes I think the KnowItAll there who cast out the elderly know nothing at all.

The MIL just turned 94 now the other day.

Again wish youall were on the CB for the Princess Players Cruise.

Have you been to the Casinos in Halifax, NS and Newport, R.I. ?

I don't have a set way of playing. If I'm at a casino that offers better than 3-4-5 xs odds I will probably bet all the numbers and go down with odds as they roll. Instead of making bigger come bets, I like to place place bets after a number has rolled 3 times. That way, I can have just my place bets, or just my come bets working at one time or another if I get spooked. If I come up and start a dead table I might be on the dark side. I figure there is a reason they are dead and I doubt it was because the other players left with full pockets. Other times I'll be on the Don't Pass for $50 or $75 and take the other numbers for $52, $54, $78 or $81, take 5 or 6 few hits and then place the point for $60 if it's a 6 0r 8 $55 on a 5 or 9 and $40 on a 4 or 10, almost guaranteeing a profit no matter if the point is rolled or a 7 out comes instead.

I had my own interesting situation with some cards at a black jack table in Las Vegas earlier this summer. They had to bring in a all new cards to make up a fresh shoe. Took a long time.
Do you know why they changed cards on a live game? If a drink was spilled on the table they will usually just change the affected cards. Usually they will wait until a game has no players before changing the cards. Even then a decent dealer will have the new cards in play in less than 5 minutes. Which can seem like an eternity if you were on a roll.

In this case, they had to build a new shoe because some how, an extra card from a different shoe got into the one they were using. It was spotted because the back of the card was a different color than every other card in the show. I guess somehow, when they finished one shoe and pulled in the cards from the autoshuffler, one was left in the discard and got mixed in.

It took 15 minutes or so to do it. Had to bring out 6 or 7 fresh decks, and manually go through the whole procedure. The auto shuffler machine had broken.

I got up, took a whiz.. walked around the casino, then went back and sat down and wiated for them to finish.

seadog67,

On one craps message board I got a response telling me that the Norwegian Epic has a extremely bouncy table.

Dicenator

Can anyone else confirm bouncy tables on NCL Epic?

I will be on the Epic next week. I will let you know.

I can't wait to get on the tables with you!

Regarding the tables, my experience last year (12/2011) - both tables were a bit bouncy. I definitely bounced the dice off a few times and others *many* times.

Looking forward to it.

I am a very mechanical player. I play the pass line and come bets, with maximum odds. I keep my odds working on the come-out roll.

The only other bet I ever make is, when the bases are loaded, I will bet the hard ways for the dealers.

HHHHHEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO btyko: There is nothing wrong with being a mechanical player. Playing the Pass Line and the Come area with full odds is smart play. I don't agree with your keeping odds working on Come out Rolls though. However, everyone has their own way of playing.
